I love this spot! Such a hidden gem in Richmond for casual, affordable eats. I really enjoyed their rice rolls with black truffle paste and love the huge selection of congee!

I had an amazing experience at this Yin Ji Chang Fen restaurant! The rice beef roll was incredibly fresh, with top-quality vegetables, and the meat tasted so fresh. The packaging was secure, and the delivery was timely with a tight seal. The customer service was excellent – all the staff greeted me warmly, and the take-out pickup was smooth. Highly recommend for both the food and the service!

First time eater / take out and the pork/preserved egg & minced beef congees were tasty. The doughnut was crispy although a bit expensive for one stick. (Barely) The rice noodles were great; had the BBQ pork / chive & beef / shrimp / chive. Will try dine in next time. I have 5 stars for service but more for Fuantan as they delivered 30 min earlier than I requested.

I think it's delicious.
The only thing I don't like is that the beef brisket lo mein is a little too spicy.
The boiled double moist is really delicious, without soy sauce and no fishy smell, which is great.
The rice rolls are steamed in Cantonese style and are very thin. The spring rolls have lots of fresh shrimps and are delicious.
The chili is even more delicious and the frozen milk tea is just as delicious.
The service staff are very friendly and can speak any language, which is great.

Busy congee restaurant, full house in Sunday morning, long waiting line. Congee was tasty with strong MSG, acceptable service, reasonable price

Had chicken and liver congee and the duck meat rice roll. Went right at the AM opening. Staff was friendly, organized and efficient. This restaurant is a little bit funky but clean, inexpensive, tasty and well run.

We came early on a Saturday and there was a little wait for table for two. I can see why it's so busy at Yin Ji Chang Fen is a hidden gem for delicious and affordable Cantonese food. As we waited, they gave us menu, paper and pencil to order in advance of getting a table. Very organized. As soon as we were seated (we waited no longer than 5 minutes) our beverages were delivered. Soon the food order rolled out!

The rice rolls are perfectly steamed and come with a variety of delicious fillings. The congee is smooth, flavourful, and perfect for a cozy meal.

Now when are we going back???? Definitely soon!
