Horrible service. Went here on two separate occasions and both times was ignored or forgotten about. First time I had to leave after sitting at the bar for 20 min without even a drink order taken. Second time I managed to get my drink but was not offered a menu or a second drink, and had to hunt down someone for my bill just to be able to leave. This may be a family restaurant but it seems to be the family of the owners who get service, again Both times they filled a small part of the restaurant but got all the service while the rest of us got nothing. Go to ranchmens down the road. Way better

Ricky's atmosphere is enjoyable and clean, the service was decent and the staff were friendly. The food is a story of two tails. We had 2 kids grilled cheese meals both came with fries and ice cream for dessert. The grilled cheese sadly was barely grilled as the butter or margarine was melted but not even caramelized, combine that with a cheese slice and you get a pretty poor grilled cheese. The chicken Tenders from the "mains" section of the menu were very tender and beautifully cooked but coating was bland. I added a touch of salt and it made all the difference, the Sriracha ranch dip was very bland with heat. The fish & shrimp platter was good fish was crisp except the portion of the bottom piece of fish where the two pieces overlapped which is merely coincidence and not a result of preparation. The turkey dinner was good, the mashed potatoes stood out as a highlight they were both smooth and seasoned perfectly. All in all not a bad meal even considering the kids meal issues. The staff did rectify the kids meal issues on the bill.

There are nights where you just can’t decide what to do for dinner out… I was staying at the BW attached to the restaurant, or vice versa! I couldn’t figure out what to do about dinner. So I thought, well Ricky’s as a pretty varied menu, certainly I’ll find something. Glad I did. Ricky’s hit the spot…I think Ricky’s gets lumped into the “family” restaurant, breakfast place but the menu is a little more varied than most and thinking about it, I can’t complain about the meals I have had at various Ricky’s… back to this one.I started with a nice bowl of the Tomato Basil soup. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! Very tasty, nice texture. A bigger bowl with some nice bread (also offered) and it could be a nice light meal for someone.I had a hard time deciding on a main because I was in a comfort food mood… I had it down to a number of different selections and ended up combining a couple. In the end I had the Philly. Let’s be honest, a Philly is a Philly. They are all pretty similar so you can’t go too far wrong there! Toasting the loaf face is one improvement I could suggest but it was just fine as is.I have a thing for mashed potatoes. They are one of my favourite comfort foods! I could eat a whole plate of them alone. Being in the comfort food mindset I asked if I could substitute the mashed potatoes for the regular sides and they were happy to do it for me. When they main arrived the Mashed were in a fairly substantial bowl and smothered in gravy… quite nice gravy, too. It was a very generous helping. Honestly I could have licked the bowl.Service was good, quick, friendly…Very good experience overall… so all I can say is, if you are heading out and don’t know where to go or what to have, maybe Ricky’s has something for you. I won’t hesitate to come back and try an item or two I see had good reviews.
I just stopped for dinner after work. Chicken tenders are amaze and my server, Alaina was very attentive and pleasant. I will be back to try more on the menu!

Had two meals with chicken in them. Both were FABULOUS! The Southern Style Chicken Tenders and the Califresco Salad were so delicious. Everything was fresh, prepared perfectly. The portions are good size, the prices are very fair, the restaurant very clean and the staff is superb! Don’t miss this hidden gem, adjoins the Best Western Hotel, on the edge of Jasper Park. This place will definitely be added to “My Favorites” list.

The food was good. But what made the vibe around me wonerful was the charming and welcoming Server Alaina she always checked to make sure I was good and was very cheerful.
