Food was meh - menu is very similar to what it has always been. The restaurant was very quiet despite it being a Friday night - waiter never came to refill waters once. They did not honor any happy hour specials or the happy hour deal that they had advertised on the ‘Jasper in January' site. Almost made us feel like it was a ploy to bring people in. The new location is nice, but it lost the spark that always made Evil Dave's special and different. We felt the prices were high for what the food was. Ultimately I think there are better options in Jasper.

I think the restaurant was ok, the value for the meatloaf was low. Portions smaller than expected. I think the noise level was extremely high, hard to hear and talk with people at our own table even. The decor could be better than fake moss framed & that a focus on acoustics is definitely needed.

The green onion cake and dip is amazing. Quiet, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere with a friendly server. Food came fast and was very flavorful.

The food was delicious, 6 of us ate for about 75.00 per person with appetizers, specialty drinks and dessert- kid friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable, I'm celiac and was happy with the options available to me to eat. We were about 1/2 hour early for our reservation, which was a miss on our parts, but were seated about 10 minutes after our actual reservation time. Overall great experience and delicious meal to ring in the New Year!

Very mixed for food. Some was great but majority or our groups wasn't great flavours. Poke bowl and salmon were disappointing. Foul Play was great! Brie to start was good and the salad good too. Meatloaf was just okay. Kids meals were great. Server was lovely.
Great tasting food. Service good. Ordered the salmon special for the night and it was cooked perfect. The banana dessert could be bigger in size for the price you're paying but still good! What a nice local gem

A bit disappointed in the lack of flavour in the El Diablo as the chicken and chipotle sauce lacked flavour. The accompanying corn tortilla sticks were just commercial grade tortilla chips. I did enjoy the Hot Mess dip and kettle chips. Feedback on the Wicked Cheese Burger was it was just okay. Phish Taco Feast were said to be quite good as not overly breaded. Hopefully better next time!

We have been coming to Jasper every year for the past 4 years between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. And every year we make it a must to come to Evil Dave’s Grill. The Cowboy Sushi is an absolute MUST TRY! Though not in the photos, the meatloaf is always delicious too. No fountain pops so if you’re looking for free refills this isn’t the place. Great service and it’s clear that they are professionals. Would 100% recommend making a reservation as the place is always busy.

Not just putting all 5 stars for no reason, genuinely worth this rating. Had a steak and potatoes, and the stake was cooked to absolute perfection! (Like seriously, compliments to the chef because I can’t express how perfectly it was done to how I like it.) Food across our table was amazing, the service was extremely friendly, and there was live music playing too. Comfortable, and the food was very tasty. If you want genuinely good quality food and drinks, it is worth the extra that it will cost per person.
