Famoso Italian Pizzeria - Jasper National Park

Food was below average, look like owner don’t care for service. The Water glass was literally dirty and has stains.

Last night, I visited Jasper for dinner—it was my second time. My first experience wasn’t great, but this visit was excellent. The male server was very knowledgeable, with a deep understanding of the pizza ingredients, and gave us great food suggestions. Overall, the food was good, and considering the price point, it’s a solid choice for a tourist destination like Jasper.

Husband and I went here two nights in a row because of the hours, food, and atmosphere. The service was also wonderful both nights, they took care of us.

We tried the Meatball App, Bruchetta, Tomato Bisque, Caesar Salad with added chicken breast, and a pizza. All of it was delicious.

The music and setting was comfortable and enjoyable. All around a great place to have a meal after a long day of seeing all the sights.

I always enjoy Famoso pizza and today was no exception.

They even gave us a free pizza. 😁

We came here the other night. The setting was very nice and casual. Ambience was great and music was at the appropriate volume to conversation.

My mother in law and I had Margherita pizza. My wife had the tomato bisque.

The pizza was in my opinion, phenomenal. The crust was perfectly cooked. The sauce, cheese and spices were perfection. Just like I have even in Italy on vacation. Let’s just say, my mother in law and I love their pizza so much we picked up more pizzas for takeout the next evening.

The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Staff were very helpful and cheerful.

I’d definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes pizza just like it’s done in Italy (Naples to be precise, home of the first Margherita pizza).

If I discovered this place sooner it would have been 3 days in a row, eating here.

We ordered a Margarita and a meatball sandwich. We loved both. We did a take out order it was prepared fast and with the smile.

We chose Famoso based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Great overall experience! Dustin, our server was wonderful. Not only attentive but also made some park/hike recommendations. The meatball and prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizers were wonderful as was the pizza.

We loved this place! We came at 9:30 tired from a long day and the staff were very patient and helpful. They didn’t kick us out as we were eating around their closing time, the food is very delicious and staff were amazing!

It seemed like they weren't ready for customers or maybe they just opened up recently. A long wait,, even though there were plenty of open tables and employees, they just weren't organized.

I‘ve tested the so called Napoli Stye Proscuttio Rucola Bianca Pizza. Here are the rating of the Ingredients:
Rucola and Mozzarella 5 of 5
Parmesan 3 of 5 either its not real parmesan (parmareggiano) or it isnt mature enough
The Dough, its nothing close to a real napolitano dough, its better then the average american pizza dough but not the real one
The Oliveoil 5 of 5, was a very nice virgin olive oil
Overall i rate this Pizza by Quality and Ingredients of 4 of 5.
For americans it would be a 5 of 5 but with an europe taste you closely reach a 4 rating.
Tap water, 1 of 5, tastes like a swimming pool.

Stopped in for a bite and was not disappointed! I ordered the 12-inch “make your own” meat pizza — thin crust, perfectly crisp, and somehow light enough that I polished off the whole thing in one sitting (no regrets). My wife went with the fettuccine Alfredo and absolutely loved it — creamy, rich, and cooked just right. Great atmosphere, quick service, and a solid choice if you're craving Italian while in Jasper.
