Fantastic restaurant. They do three seatings (at least when we were there) 5PM, 7PM, and 9PM. So, get your reservations in early. The food is exquisite! The meat is tender and the veggies are delicious. The set menu is very filling. Be prepared to be full!

Lovely location to enjoy the outdoors and then have a high quality meal in a beautiful space in the Rocky Mountains.
Went for breakfast on a cold mid winter's Tuesday. Was very quiet. Nice to have the break from the crowds!! Great food and wonderful service. Would definitely go again.
I stopped by Aalto for breakfast and had a very pleasant start to the morning. Upon arrival, I was given the option of a window seat or a table by the fireplace—a small but thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated. Too often seating is assigned without consideration, so being given a choice immediately set a positive tone. I opted for the window, which offered a beautiful and calming view.
The service throughout was warm, professional, and attentive. My server was courteous and friendly, promptly presenting the menu and taking my drink order. Coffee arrived quickly, and my breakfast followed shortly after, with a very reasonable wait time.
I ordered their Eggs Benedict, a dish I consider a personal benchmark and tend to try wherever I go. From a flavour standpoint, it was very enjoyable; however, from a technical perspective, a few elements leaned slightly away from a classic Benedict preparation.
The presentation was beautiful, and the overall flavour was genuinely excellent. Personally, I prefer my poached eggs slightly softer so the yolk can fully coat the dish, and the hollandaise leaned more toward rich and hearty rather than the lighter, velvety texture traditionally associated with a classic Benedict. The back bacon was also cooked quite crisp—a texture I usually enjoy, though it’s less typical for this particular dish.
That said, taken as a breakfast dish rather than a textbook Benedict, it was deeply satisfying and well balanced in flavour. The taste profile ultimately carried the dish, and it’s something I would happily order again, especially in the context of the overall experience.
The atmosphere at Aalto is inviting and relaxed, with the fireplace adding warmth and charm to the dining room. Combined with the attentive and genuinely welcoming service, it made for a very enjoyable visit. I would absolutely return, and I wouldn’t hesitate to order the Benedict again—both for the flavour and with the hope that some of the classic elements continue to evolve.

We try our best to have dinner at Aalto every time we are in Jasper. The food is always amazing and the staff are terrific. We've never had a bad meal or experience at the restaurant. The short ribs (beef or bison depending on the menu)are to die for!!!!
We decided to have the menu, and the food was nice, some aspects amazing (their kale Caesar is wonderful, the bison carpaccio really nice), the ribs were as tender as tender can be, the salmon nicely done. The mains were a bit salty. The pretzel a bit of work, but okay. The service was like what you what wish other places would understand: they know their stuff, interactive, pleasant. All in all a treat worth the money.
We had a wondeful experience at Aalto in Jasper! We attended a wedding in December and had a great time. The venue is absolutely beautiful and breath-taking (views are everyting!). Very welcoming and nicely decorated. The staff were really friendly both at breakfast and during the wedding. Food was also delicious. Thank you!

We were there over New Years. The room is absolutely lovely with a cozy, elegant ambiance, and a lovely view over the lake. For this particular dinner, we were a small group of women with an advanced reservation. We were seated next to very large, noisy, group of 20-somethings. That made it hard for us to enjoy our meal, because we couldn't hear each other speak. The worst thing though was the service. Staffing was adequate. Our server friendly, but _poorly trained_. For example: our cocktails were delivered _halfway through our entrees_, which were delivered at the same time as the appetizers 😱. We actually had to flag down our server in order to get our aperitifs. These are cardinal errors in what is supposed to be a fine dining establishment. The food itself was delicious, well plated, and served hot. It just came out way too soon. And then our server made us feel pressured to leave, even though the room was not full, and there seemed to be no pressure for our table. Front of the house training is definitely needed. But this being an establishment that belongs to the American conglomerate Pursuit, I am not confident the staff will get the necessary training.

We had 2 meals here today, and both were amazing. First we had brunch and my French toast was so good!! Then we had dinner later in the evening and every course was incredible. Thank you to both hosts (Caitlin and Jason) for understanding my picky pallet and letting me make some small changes. 100/10 unreal dinner service with James. Top notch! And James, we are dying going through my camera roll seeing your priceless selfie. Truly the best.

James was the best server. Our kids are hella clumsy and dropped cutlery several times. James was super cool about it, and even gave us a great selfie. Thanks, James!
We had a very nice Xmas diner. Waitress (forgot her name, blonde ponytail) was very friendly and welcoming. Steak was quite big, bit too smokey for my taste hence I had Sole with risotto (very nice!)

We had brunch at Pyramid Lake yesterday and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The dining room is breathtaking — cozy yet grand — with a huge wood-burning fireplace that creates such a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Christmas tree was stunning and added a really special, festive touch.
Our food was delicious and beautifully presented, but what truly made the experience exceptional was our waiter. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome without ever being overbearing. His service elevated the entire meal.
Between the incredible setting, the amazing brunch, and the outstanding service, this was a memorable dining experience. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pyramid Lake.
