Yes, it is pricey but so worth it. Took my parents and they loved it and I very much enjoyed the experience as well. Sonya our server, she was incredible. Made us feel so welcomed and she was so professional and personable as well. It's like as if I knew her from before. Thank you Sonya!!

Incredible experience. Matthew was the best server I have ever had. He made my birthday magical and unforgettable. I couldn’t be more grateful.

The views are stunning and the service is exceptional. Every table was full and yet the atmosphere was relaxed and it was not too noisy. We noticed everyone leaving with leftovers. The tea would be much better if there was an additional savoury item and two to three fewer desserts. They were so sweet that a half one was enough. Definitely worth doing once.

This was one of the best memories from our trip to Banff. The manager made us feel so welcomed, answered all my questions about the menu (gluten free and vegetarian), the server went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, and even the young man who brought our the scones was a delight. All the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. We were stuffed and even had left overs. I hope we'll get to return someday!

Service was very, very slow. We spent most of our time just waiting. Food was mid and portions were small.

Had afternoon tea at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and found it to be pretty average as afternoon teas go. They are undoubtedly living off the location. The afternoon tea was pleasant enough with a decent cuppa but it was very expensive when compared to others - it's not much cheaper than the Savoy in London! The scones were tiny compared to the many other afternoon teas we have had. The ambience was OK but not wonderful and the background music wholly inappropriate for a tea. On top of that, the parking was extortionate at CA$45 for the 90 minutes we were there - this is on top of the CA$115 you pay per head for the tea. The property, although in a glorious location, was looking pretty tired - very worn carpet on the stairs, chips out of the plaster on the walls, restrooms out of action. All in all, OK if you want to have afternoon tea with a view in a Las Vegas style hotel, but not great value.

Heads-up, they've upped the price to $115 now. Beautiful atmosphere and aesthetic (Lake Louise is Louising!), though definitely bring your wallet. Not sure if I'd pay this price again.

Food-wise, I didn't expect to be so stuffed at the finish but was pleasantly deceived with a delicious experience. (And +1 to a previous review; Emily is a superb server! Kudos to the Fairview staff all around. They've got hospitality down pat.)

Got a stomachache after eating the cakes at the tea room. Cheaply made low quality baked goods came out. Ate with tea but it was made mostly out of oils I think that didn't go well with the tea.

Terrible idea to do this while on vacation.
Definite tourist trap. Waste of $600.

It's almost criminal to charge this much for crappy food and tea.

Service and the view are decent. The food and deserts are okay but $105 per person is too pricey.

The views were absolutely beautiful and the staff was good but when we cut open the baked scone, there was a light color hair. The manager was nice and apologized and gave us a 15% discount. The food alone was $105 plus tax, plus tip and a $40 for parking. For a place like this extravagant they should be more careful or provide a better discount then just 15%.
