“We stay for three nights. There were a couple minor issues, that were dealt with well. And then there was a major issue which was not the fault of the staff. But Matthew at the front desk did go above and beyond to have us leave with a positive experience. THANK YOU MATTHEW! Fairmont Matthew deserves a raise. You need to ensure you do not lose him at a member of the team. But I also feel the hotel needs a hotel dog. Other staff tell me the manager is not a dog person and that's the reason for not having a resident dog.I think the price is worth it for having access to the mountains and the lake, that image that is one of the one of the images of Canada. However the hotel is a hotel unless you are there for an event the access to lake is the only thing that makes this resort worth staying. I did feel the lounge closed early way to early. And some of the menus were not good for visually impaired people.“

“Great flat whites. Extensive selections of wraps, sandwiches, cakes. Had two flat whites, Cajun chicken Caesar salads wrap, Elk Stew and a silky chocolate truffle slice. All good portion size, freshly made and tasty. Seating is cosy and a bit limited as it’s a nice cosy cafe, but don’t let that put you off as overall great, and would recommend.“

“Quick gas pit stop before heading out and decided we want breakfast. Instead of the gas station, we opted for this little place. I love these types of small, quaint places. They had the best grilled cheese sandwich! Simple, small menu, to the point. Great place for quick bite. Prices were decent, but what can you expect? You're in Banff and in one of the most touristy spot. I would definitely come back if we're back in this area.“

“This is the hotel's solution to separating any visitor tourists from these guests. It is down the left-side corridor with a view of the entry circle. It has expensive food and drinks to grab if you are hungry. There is no designated seating but people just sat on the heaters along the windowsill. Good place to go to the toilet and fill up a water bottle.“
