Great takoyaki this side of the country. I have to say it is as authentic as the ones I got in BC and other Japanese restaurants. The noodles were great and it was a good short meal that was filling.Cost with tip at $26 and was thoroughly surprise at the quality. Definitely recommend this place as a light bite if anyone is driving through Lloydminster and wants a quick meal vice a full sit down meal.

This place is great! The bao are huuge and the bun part itself is incredibly fluffy and tasty. The tofu takoyaki is also incredible. Staff was very friendly and it took a little longer to get the food than was indicated on the website, so there may be an issue with how that’s set up. Inside is small and cute, not really for dine in with more than a couple people but the food is not the type you sit and stay for long. Overall the vibe was immaculate. It was well worth the extra ten or so minutes for my food

I ordered from skip and was craving sweet and sour pork, it was amazing! the rice was definitely overcooked but the flavors were great and the dumplings were delicious with the sweet soy sauce! We will definitely be ordering again soon ☺️

Chow Bao is such a cool way to introduce Asian foods and flavors to Canadians. First the price is definitely worth the size of the baos, especially when you get it with a side! You can tell that the chef has experience because the ingredients really compliment each other, it's fresh, and they have a great variety of flavors. They also really took into account my nut allergy and made sure there wasn't any cross contamination with the other things we ordered. I particularly loved the Southwest Pulled Pork and the Sweet Chili Chicken! Their takoyaki was perfect, not too overbearing of seafood flavour. Will definitely make my way through the menu but we're from Edmonton. Can't wait for the next trip to Lloydminster.

In my top 3 of best things ive tried this year. I knew this place would be good and wasnt disappointed. Had a few Big Bao's, and crab rangoon. I didnt even look at what each Bao had on it and ordered what sounded good: the Bahn Mi and Pop Ckn. This food is darn good! The bahn mi had crispy pork belly and was full of flavor, and the pop ckn sauce and kimchee was so good. Ill be back soon.

What an amazing gem in the midst of a fast food plague....Dramatic I know!! But really!! They are amazing!! The gentleman behind the counter helped us with our selection and was super friendly!! The sitting area is small and cute!! We loved our meals, I had the pork belly Bao and my boyfriend had the Pulled pork Bao, with crab Rangoon and spring rolls. Wow!! Just wow!! I will be back, I will be bringing friends!!

We drove through Lloydminster grabbing a quick dinner en route. I can’t believe they have a restaurant like this; the food was incredible!! The bao buns are HUGE, and the largest combo (bao plus bowl) is enough for more than one person or someone who is a huge eater. I wish I could eat here on the regular but will definitely stop every time I’m passing through.
