Argo's Family Restaurant

Food was good as usual! The unfortunate part that took place tonight was when the server decided to raise their voice and tell my 3 year to go sit down. Not sure if the server was having a tough go, or what. But it was extremely rude, and really rather shocking. We didn’t say anything, rather our party finished our meal and left.

My 3 year old was standing a couple feet from our table, as she had seen the robot server go by and maybe was lingering as 3 year olds do. But was not in the way of the server or any of the other patrons. Bit my tongue as the server spoke to my child in that tone.

Just an incident that really ruined our experience at Argo’s tonight!

Most horrible experience that I have had this evening. And it all started walking in the door she asked if I was by myself and I said yes and then the girl looked at the waitress and started to make some face like I cant eat alone. The tone of the waitress voice was unpleasant. When my food came out almost burnt my fingers if I didn't have fast enough reflexes because she didn't not warn me the plate was hot. I asked for cheese toast not grease toast the toast was so grease it was flopping everywhere. Paid almost $4 for pop to not get asked if i wanted a top up or refill. This was disgusting of a night and your telling me the hostess cant pick up a cloth and help the only waitress on by cleaning her tables for it. Not coming back. The only time I will come back is the one waitress who always has her hair done up and lots of make up on her face she is the only one I will be back for she knows how to treat guest right

Full rack of ribs was delicious, the meat fell off the bones, the pork was delicious and the sauce not too sweet, just perfect. The side blew my mind, the vegetables were roasted to perfection, usually with this dishes the side is less than desirable, but this side of vegetables I almost wanted seconds. Sweet potatoes fries, awesome. For desert recommended by the super nice and friendly waitress was Saskatoon pie (I think that’s what’s called); and it was spectacular. Shame I’m only passing by town, would totally make it my favourite restaurant. Thanks for a delicious meal after days of driving.

One of our two orders, eggs scrambled with various vegetables, served on a bed of fried potatoes and toast, was very, very greasy. The bread was hardly toasted or buttered. The other order, a beef deep, was put together sloppily and was not that tasty. The coffee we were served was stale. Towards the end of our meal, the server asked if we needed the machine to pay. When I said no, she asked if I had cash. Why did she need to ask that? The server asked if I wanted change when I paid cash, even though it was obvious that change would be in order. I did not appreciate that she asked for payment before we were ready to leave, nor the manner in which she asked. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant anymore.

went in at 3:00 pm today. there were two other diners in there. Ordered a hot hamburger sand with mashed, and a clubhouse with the day's soup. Portions and prices were within line, but it took 30 minutes before it was served. The gravy was not very tasty, and I think they might need to retrain their chef. Otherwise the selections seem great and if it weren't for the delay I would eat there again, but I think I'll pass until they get a better chef
