We were given a table as soon as we got in. You need to place your order and pay first then you take a seat. And then wait for almost an hour for the food to be served. The food didn't disappoint, it was really good. But the waiting was just unreasonable.
Takumi’s Japanese restaurant is a tiny, super authentic restaurant that makes some of the best Japanese cuisine in Medicine Hat! This restaurant is a one man show and the chef takes a lot of pride in his food. He has cooked internationally, from Korea to Japan and I was shocked to see him working in our little town.

I did not expect to find such a delicious sushi place in Medicine Hat! The fish was fresh and delicious! I took the 15 piece omakase and it was amazing. My only complaint is they had so many different tuna options in the menu but I received only one piece of tuna nigiri and 2 shrimp nigiri (shrimp nigiri is my least favourite).
