Never heard of this place before, just tried it out at random, and loved it. My cobb salad and my wife's taco salad were both excellent, as was the brownie cake dessert we took home. Server was fantastic too, just nice and normal and attentive. The place wasn't new or fancy but it was clean. Will definitely go back.

Very disappointing experience at Rancher’s Castle in Ponoka. We had to wait almost 30 minutes just for a server to take our order, and it wasn’t even the original one who came. Then we waited another half hour for our food. On top of that, the table wasn’t properly cleaned and the overall atmosphere felt neglected and unwelcoming. The long wait and lack of cleanliness made it not worth it at all.

I’m not sure what has happened to this place, went in this morning, sat at our table for 20 minutes, no one came to take our order, offer a drink, nothing. There was 1 family us and 1 other guy. I can understand when it’s busy and there’s one waitress but this was not the case. I’ve always recommended this place to friends and family, but after today, I doubt I’ll ever go back.

Had this for my first time in ponoka. Food was not hot and the taste was not good. Chicken wings were freezer burnt, roast beef and beef ribs were so cold. All old food and the service was terrible. Maybe it was just a bad timing with leftover food, but we will not return.

Food sat under warming light for over 20 min, son's food came last absolutely disgusting, husbands food was cold. Server never check on how the meal was, never checked on coffee until our not server came and checked on us several times. Portions were very small for the cost. Extremely disappointed. Server came by never offered to clear away dishes. Extremely slow and yesterday was very quiet

We ordered pick and it was such a disappointment will not order from there again. Ordered a Greek salad payed $17 for the salad and didn’t even have salad dressing. When I phoned about the missing dressing they hung up on me.
We have tried a different breakfast place in town every weekend for the past 4 weeks. Ranchers food and service surpassed every other restaurant that we have been too! The cost was a bit higher however, the quality of food was so much better and the service was amazing. It was nice to also watch the owner going to tables to see how everything was.
