Was driving through to Drumheller and stopped on a whim at the Hitching Post. We had the best experience! The server was so friendly and accommodating, checking a number of menu options for a food allergy. The food was tasty and plentiful. The brown gravy was perfection. Would absolutely go out if our way to eat here again.
My mum and I have been regulars since February 2024. The food is always delicious! What makes the restaurant truly special is the staff. They're all hard working and friendly, and they make a visit more like seeing friends then going out to eat. If you go on the weekends make sure to try out their French toast or pancakes (I love the French toast my mum loves the pancakes). I usually order steak and eggs when I go out for breakfast and the Chef always makes the steak perfectly...
1st try picked up an order. they forgot $5 Neptune sauce, called, waited on hold for 5 minutes, refused to deliver it (2 blocks away) offered to refund $5 next visit.....sauce for a $28 salmon dish (salmon overcooked) watery gravy, beef in Yorkies was just chopped up (tough) roast, not as advertised.
