“Wow! Great food and great service. We had one of the platters and it was very good. Lots of variety and it was very tender and flavourful. The staff was super friendly, answered all of our questions and made some really great recommendations. Portion sizes were very big and the platter was a great size for our party size and we had a good amount of left overs. Definitely recommend this location and we will be back.“

“MEAT is a well-known spot in Edmonton, and I’ve been here several times over the years. I usually go for the beef brisket or the ribs, both solid choices. I also recommend the mac & cheese or a jumbo pickle on the side—something about their mac & cheese just hits right every time, and clearly I’m not the only one who thinks so.
I will say the ribs can be a bit hit-or-miss. There have been times they came out more crispy than expected, almost burnt, while other visits they were cooked perfectly. It really seems to depend on the day.
Overall, still a reliable place to grab barbecue, and when they’re on point, it’s great.“

“I was looking for something not too expensive and that would fill me up and DoorDash suggested The Barbeque House. For the price and the amount of food I got from the Super Combo it was so delicious wish I ordered more. I’m definitely ordering here again. My only suggestion would be add a drink menu on DoorDash otherwise 10 out of 10. Thank you.“

“The meat platter was extraordinary. The highlight was the brisket. Loved the ribs, lamb, chicken and sausage. The service was very good. The chef visited our table. The establishment is bright and clean. Very inviting. We would highly recommend it to everyone!!“

Who would have thought that the literary meaning of the title of this restaurant has the ability to accurately portray the descriptive nature of the food the restaurant serves to its client base. “I picked up the $20 bbq meat special for downtown dining week which included your choice of 4 types of meat. I choose bbq pork x 2, roast pork and chicken. My favourite was the bbq pork…it was delicious! The lady working was very pleasant and served up a healthy amount of freshly cut bbq meat. I work downtown and will definitely be stopping here to pick up food more often!“

“Such an enjoyable experience, highly recommend this restaurant, starting with the hostess, so welcoming and catered to our requests. Waiter was so knowledgeable and had the best suggestions, to many to list. Drinks were amazing, Bartender was full of energy and was fantastic with his customers. The Food, Outstanding! The cornbread, bacon wrapped dates & ribs we honestly to die for.. the ribs cooked to perfection. Great job to all & thanks for a positive experience. Can’t wait for our next visit ??“

“Purchased some BBQ pork from this place which is a shared store with Nhon Hoa 2. Very tasty and I really appreciated that they had a small plastic bag of sauce on the side because most places just pours the sauce on top of the BBQ pork and most of it end spilling out.
Service was top notch! Very friendly and thankful for the business which is very refreshing.
Sadly, the location is annoying because of all the druggies around :(“

“This is a wonderful place to enjoy authentic and delicious Swahili food. The manager truly values his customers and provides excellent service. Even though part of my order was missed on a busy night—which is completely understandable—the way they handled it was outstanding. “Absolutely delicious! BBQ KING CITY is a hidden gem in Edmonton. The meats are always tender and flavorful, especially the marinated squid and BBQ duck—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Every time I visit, the food is consistently great:) Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Chinese BBQ!“

October 2024 - Came for dinner here and was surprised by the service, the convenience, the food, the atmosphere, everything! Conveniently order everything on your phone and they bring it right to the table. The pork belly was amazing, as were the beef short ribs! All the grilled meat was delicious in general! The kitchen foods were just as good, but, it’s so much fun cooking at the table! All you can eat is so worth it! Be aware there is a cost for wasted food so don’t order more than you can handle! Highly recommend checking this place out!“
