“TikTok made us try it, and I have to say it was amazing! We went for a date night and came home to tell the extended family that we need to all go there again. We had the platter for 2, and it definitely could easily feed three! Pretty sure we have enough leftover for both of us for tomorrow. I don’t think there was a single item we would say we didn’t enjoy. The complimentary tea was a nice added touch. A true hidden gem in YEG! I almost want to gate keep on this place, but they deserve the praise. Service was timely and stellar. Tables are spacious.“

We had Houli cheese wrapped with ehh plant and the wagyu meatballs for appetizers, the main course we both had the braised short rib pasta, delicious! “Jerusalem shawarma was worth it .Food is good .Busy place , lot of people in the kitchen line but nobody to clean the tables . Front lady is rude for no reason at all.
I came for dine in , but I did take out since I didn’t felt like having it there . If you speak their language , u get special nice service though .

“I absolutely love coming here. The owner is very kind and generous, as we waited for our pizza he gave us three different hot pitas with vegetables and meat to try. They wouldn’t even take a tip when we offered! Some of the best food in Edmonton made by some of the kindest people. Please give them a visit!“

“Fresh to order, today I had the philly cheese steak. Pita is baked in house and wrap comes with veggies and beef. Beef was tender and seasoned well along with the veggies. Ratio of pita to toppings was also quite good. I would say it's somewhere between snack sized and meal sized per order.“

“Went to Oil Lamp for the first time and decided on lunch on a Saturday. The place was empty at 1:15 PM but that was not too surprising since it was a later lunch time and also the weekend. The server was also the owner and was very friendly and helpful. This is an old school place and has been around for 18 years - the decor hasn’t changed but I liked that.

The lunch specials that we ordered were around $18 each, which was very reasonable as they all came with two sides each. We had the beef gyro and roasted lamb - both were delicious. They also have Greek Mythos bottled beer, which is tasty and something I never tried. The owner was very accommodating of our one year old child and brought a high chair out for us and was very forgiving of the mess that was made below it.

This place is wonderful and we will definitely be back!

Dietary restrictions: My husband realized the Burger came with fries when they brought the plate. When he told Rana he can't eat fries she offered to bring him salad. They brought him a lathe portion of Tebbouleh salad.
That was much appreciated by him.

Kid-friendliness: My husband and I have just finished dinner at the Sahara Restaurant in Edmonton. We had a nice dinner. The young lady helping us, Rana, was nice and accommodating.
Jamel was also nice and pleasant.
We had the Tenderloin skewers dish, fries, Smack Burger and Calamari.
We didn't have dessert.
We will certainly come back.
The restaurant has a new menu, as well as new variety of Sushi dishes (which it did not have before)“
