“Last night my family was tired, hungry, cranky (especially my two little ones). We needed a warm meal but we needed it fast before an ultimate meltdown occurred. My husband and I decided on Village Inn because it was close by and we figured we’d get our food quickly. I’m kind of a food snob so I didn’t expect much, just needed food for our bellies so that we could head home for bedtime, but our experience was wonderful!

As soon as we walked in, we were kindly greeted, the entire restaurant was sparkling clean and had warm light and warm colors, it was inviting and so cozy and I was flooded with the nostalgia of eating in a diner as a young girl in the 90s. No loud music or huge crowds of people talking loudly, exactly what my already overstimulated kiddos needed.

We were immediately seated in a spacious booth and our waitress came up to us with a bright smile. I asked if they had decaf coffee and she said “I can brew some real quick!” She walked off and I had my coffee within minutes and it was actually the best decaf coffee I’ve had outside my own home! She also gave me my own little carafe so I could refill whenever I wanted. Absolute heaven on that cold, gray evening!

My kids decided on the silly face pancake meal. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, their drinks came in a cute plastic cup with pirates on it (they really liked the pirates) and we were informed we could take the cups with us! They devoured their food 10/10, no notes. My husband ordered the BLT with fries. Village Inn was GENEROUS with the bacon on that BLT, my husband was thrilled, crinkle cut fries were crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast meal with over medium eggs and diced potatoes. Chicken fried steak was delicious, crisp batter, tender bite, the country gravy was the consistency I prefer, not too thick, not too thin and the flavor was good too, my eggs were cooked perfectly, the whites were fully cooked but the yolk was still runny. The diced potatoes were beautiful and golden, yummy, crisp, little pillows of potato goodness, my 2 year old kept sneaking an occasional piece off my plate.

My ONLY “complaint”, which is incredibly minor, is everything could have used just a -touch- more salt but I find that to be the standard at all diners, once I got the salt shaker in my hands, that worked for me and I was happy as a clam!

My husband remarked, “this was a GREAT idea!”
We felt cared for, our stress vanished as we tucked into our warm meal and it helped our night become so much better. My family will definitely be back, we had such a lovely time.“

“Breakfast was included with my Platinum Bonvoy Marriott status. The buffet was good. Bacon strips are well cooked and not too dry. There is a station to get eggs, omelette and waffle made to order. There is some fruits but not that much. I prefer when the bread buffet have more choices of grains cereal bread. Here many white plain bread or beige plain bread (not much grains there...). So only 4 stars because of lack of interesting breads here.“

“I do not like the taste of iHop's bacon or sausage. It just tastes off too me, and not just at this particular iHop; they're all that way. If you like it, then everything should be fine for you. Otherwise, I'm tired of the same old menu but it's a pleasant place to meet people. Obviously, I've eaten here too many times.“

“We had exceptional service with a party of 13. Our food was quick delicious the way the team worked together to bring out our food and drinks was awesome and our teenage children noticed how well they work together. It was much cleaner than the Tudor ihop! I will drive to this one more often now.“
