Security gates and an armed security guard dressed in level IV body armor don't make for a very welcoming atmosphere.

I do pickup orders here because it's convenient and I don't have time to go to the store. My last few orders have been awful - incorrect items, missing items, and a lot of rotten/moldy items. I'm not even blaming the employees doing the orders - how does fred meyer not even notice this or care enough to check their products?

Very good pharmacy. Produce department is even worse that Abbot. Quite an achievement. I tried buying three ingredients for a recipe and some salad stuff. All three ingredients were bad and the lettuce was wilted. The produce guy was standing there putting more wilted greens on the shelf. Wow!

This place is a total disaster! I've been shopping here almost exclusively for over 7 years. About 6-9 months ago they began a total renovation of the store and since then it's a damn confusing mess. They have completley the entire store and almost everything has been relocated. There are still huge sections where there is nothing stocked, prices are no longer a value and they never have more than two checkstands open. I can have the same sub-standard shopping experience at Walmart and save 30% and that's what I'm doing from here on out!!

This store is conveniently located not too far away from Costco and REI. In preparation for our adventure in the Alaska wilderness, we stocked up on a wine opener and some essential snacks at this location. As at Costco, our wine opener had to be paid for at a separate cash register.

This Fred Meyer is located on Dimond Blvd. Their parking lot is large and includes convenient secured bins for clothing donations. We're here often. Despite this, I find myself walking through multiple aisles searching for the simplest of items. By now I know produce is on one side of the building, and clothing/electronics are on the opposite side. The restrooms, liquor store, and pharmacy are all upfront. We choose to have our prescriptions filled at this Fred Meyer pharmacy. They have a convenient drive-thru and their prices are usually cheaper than Walgreens. Fred Meyer Pharmacists make every effort to fill prescriptions in a timely fashion. We appreciate that.

Anyone familiar with Fred Meyer knows they have a little bit of everything. Groceries, hardware, clothing, home goods, you name it, they probably have some options in stock for it. This location has a mini-Starbucks, pharmacy, liquor store, and jewelry department (?). I go there mostly for the groceries, which seem to be average in price with a decent if not amazing selection. If you don't feel like facing the crowds, you can select your groceries online (free with a small minimum order total) and schedule a pick up in the parking lot. One oddity I always encounter here - my phone's data always acts screwy in the store, even though I don't connect to the guest wireless service. Who knows why.

Unlike others, I don't see much difference between the various Freddy Meyerii in town. They are all pretty much the same to me. They are, in my opinion, the best grocery stores we have in Alaska. But, if they were in the lower 48...I'm not sure I would really go much to them. They generally have better quality and lower prices than Carrs though, so they are where I go. This one is not close to my home, work, or various routes about town so I am just now getting around to visiting it. Surprise: It's a Fred Meyer.

Says they close at 11pm. But doors were locked at 10:15. Thanks for wasting my time and gas

First the cashier who was telling a crying baby “HEY! Didn’t you get the memo?” “No crying at the museum.” Yes. That really happened.

I like this store. I grew up in the area but I live on rabbit creek so Abbott is my store now. Abbott sucks and Seems to always be out of stuff thankfully Dimond is on my way home. Problem is the young kids with attitude who work there who you ask to try and correct something they get all snotty with attitude and correct it with attitude. No good customer service, especially today a kid named Jesse in the self service line gave me crap for a deal. He fixed it with attitude. Terrible customer service when it comes to that. Complained to the manager says she'll talk with him. Leaving this review because they always say they'll talk with them and never do.
