“The culinary arts students at UAA have a restaurant where they put their learned knowledge to the test in a restaurant setting called Lucy's.

It was a delicious 3-course lunch with a salad, entree, and a dessert buffet. You get to give feedback to the students afterwards so they can improve.

“I ordered takeout for the “back alley smash burger”, after seeing the home made buns I knew it had to be worth the $17 price tag. And boy oh boy, was it ever! This place is far from the “bearded burger joint/new age stereotype”. Their burger and chips are amazing, all homemade ingredients. I highly HIGHLY recommend you to try out Altruro Bistro, don’t let the pricing scare you away from what the menu has to offer, it’s worth every last penny!!!“

“The fried chicken sandwich is good (but it tasted like fish). I really liked the Boba fizzy soda. The mac and cheese tasted like Annie's boxed mac and cheese. Don't bother paying for it. You can make it at home. The caramel apple bread pudding is heavenly!! Portion sizes are good! I had leftovers.“

Everything tastes so nutritious and satisfying, fresh ingredients and great flavor. Really nice staff as well. Their smoothies are excellent. Great spot with food that makes you feel good. Love a place with kale on the menu 💚💚💚“

“The employ the best here, I realize. I'm having the best day and the best conversations with people from around the US that may not have happened otherwise. The downtown of any big city can be challenging, but The Broken Blender truly does their best to provide a space for us to relax. I've never sang karaoke in the state of Alaska, but I'm inclined.

“The food had good taste and flavor, and the bartender was friendly and had good recommendations. The atmosphere was chill and just what was needed after a Monday-like-Tuesday, I'll be returning again in the future :)

Technical notes: Food came in a timely manner, attentive staff, and the venue offered a relaxing atmosphere where the music wasn't too loud but just loud enough for general conversation. Utilities were clean and well kept.“

“The most generous, fun, witty, lady bar tender I think from California and been at XYZ for around 20 years. She even stayed a little later to accommodate 3 of us still wanting last minute drinks and since I missed my flight I was stuck until 4am at the Aloft with no reservation and she made me an extra special drink of her own design... I'll always remember the best service and I'm actually NOT a drinker but the dried fruit addiction made it like a meal!! I absolutely loved it and will try drinking more with dried fruits!!“

“This is a diamond to find when you arrive at the small Coast Inn at the Anchorage airport. It’s a bar/restaurant and the drinks are good and the food is also solid. Nice servers and they were pretty attentive. Beef stroganoff was actually pretty good once you put some spices on top and the happy hour “sliders” were also good. Prices were reasonable!

“We were here on a dreary Sunday and lunch was absolutely uplifting! Sorry we ate too fast so missed taking photos. I had DELICIOUS seafood chowder—the perfect ratio of clams, salmon, celery and potatoes and seasoned perfectly. My husband had a salmon bowl and was impressed with the varieties in it. The restaurant is immaculate, the service is friendly and quick—we highly recommend this great Muse!“

“Love this bar. The staff are nice and easy to chat with if you need something. The bartenders are really nice to the dd and will give you plenty of water or soda when you're not drinking. Drinks are also well made and tasty. There are a few different bars and spots to chill at the make it so there is a spot for anyone to hangout. They host fun shows and just in general are a fun spot to visit. I highly recommend visiting here for a drink and to dance with friends. There is a decent spot to park that keeps you pretty close to them. Easy to find.“
