The food wasn't bad, just not very good. I got the venison meatloaf and the seafood soup and neither was very hot, I could also tell the food was microwaved. The flavor for both was good, just was not hot and had that reheated flavor and texture you could tell it was microwaved, not fresh tasting. The service and atmosphere was good, just not the quality of food I'd expect for the price.
We had such a wonderful experience at Prey Pub & Eatery during our visit to Denali. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and made with local ingredients that gave everything a true taste of Alaska. It was a creative menu without being overdone, and every dish we ordered was delicious.
Our waitress, Chelle, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. She also mixed one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve had on our trip!

A hidden gem of Alaska for sure! Matt was extremely kind and gave me a suggestion to try the limonberry bbq and it was DELICIOUS! Thank you for the great experience. This was the stop we needed our long dreadful trip to Fairbanks.

Prey Pub & Eatery, located on the grounds of the Denali Cabins, offers a unique and delightful dining experience. The food is described as unusual but very good, with highlights including a wonderful Margarita, delectable desserts, and a truly wonderful omelet. The Rib eye is praised as mouth-watering, and the Caribou Meatloaf is delicious. The service is friendly and prompt, with nice and attentive service. Prey Pub & Eatery offers a warm meal and cold beer, and it is a nice place to eat. The atmosphere is cozy. The cheeseburger and brisket sandwich were great, and the burger was one of the best. Kettle chips were tasty. The barley cornbread is recommended, though it is sweet. The food is expensive, and the prices are high, but the portions are generous. Parking is available in front of the restaurant. The establishment is wheelchair accessible with a ramp.
The restaurant offers great options for entrees and sides, though the dessert menu could use more variety. The salad with oranges, candied pecans, and feta cheese is amazing. The smash burger is well-cooked and seasoned, while the chili could use more seasoning. The wings are fried with a good coating and served with ranch or bleu cheese. For vegetarians, the only available dish was vegan but not edible, though the cornbread was a saving grace.
