I've been here numerous times, always good. This time, it was awful. Food tasted like it was cooked, sat around, and was cooked again. Placed order, and not even 2 minutes later, our order showed up luke warm. Chicken was hard dry and non-existent. It was so bad I didn't eat more than a couple bites. I'm really sad because it was my go-to spot. Drive all the way from wasilla to Eagle River to get decent food. On a positive note, the rolls were still pretty good. If I ever go back, I won't ever order anything besides their rolls. Honestly, Panda Express has way better food

Love when each sushi has it own unique flavor, not just yum yum sauce. Great job, loved the flavors!

$26 for some fried rice and the box being barely even half way full is INSANE😂. I was shocked when i ordered almost $50 worth of food and it looked like this. Went to kennys the next day and all i can say is $17 fried rice and and i ordered the samd shrimp fried rice and they filled it so much ut barely closed. Never going back to this place again. Also i walked in here and it smelled like someones old house. It didn’t smell very pleasant. I’m extremely disappointed i wasted my money here.

Prices have really skyrocketed but still one of our favorite places to eat in Eagle River. The rolls are great as are the dumplings and I like the bento boxes as well. One thing to note is that their egg rolls aren't really egg rolls, they're spring rolls. We prefer real egg rolls but the spring rolls are okay.

Service is sort of and hit and miss. Used to be one of the best servers in town working here but haven't seen him in a while. Now the past two trips we've had our server try to take plates before we were done eating. This last time was really odd because she literally had a hold of my bento tray and was about to take it before I stopped her. I still had some tempura and a piece of my California roll to eat, so the tray was nowhere near empty. Felt as though she was kind of rushing us out the door to open up the table. It is a small establishment and seating is at a premium but getting rushed out the door when you're not even done eating is no bueno, no matter what. But overall we like Jimmy's and will continue to patronize when we get a hankering for sushi and spring rolls :)

This was a great find on our vacation! We tried driving to a place in Anchorage but there was over an hour wait, so we came back to Eagle River and found Jimmy's. The sushi and sashimi were very generously sized and everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The atmosphere isn't going to win any awards; it's one big room with basic tables and chairs and a few booths along the outer wall, but the food was great! If we lived up here, Jimmy's would be one of our go-to places to eat!

This use to be our favorite place to go. But the Food was bland. Unseasoned. And the soy sauce is extremely watered down.

Food was terrible that pic was supposed to be kung pao chicken and fried rice but it was just oil/grease and celery. I regret not taking a before pic but please know that it was nasty. We had a total of 4 different orders and not one of them was good!! This place is just no good anymore! 6/7/25

I’m really shocked this has the reviews that it does. My friend got sashimi that was cut into slabs and another friend couldn’t finish his sesame chicken—it was super overcooked.

The gyoza and sushi I had was ok, but for the $100 paid, it was not worth the money.

The dining room is oppressively dingy, with mismatched bulbs, dusty walls, and smudges on the picture frames. There is literally food stuck to the menus.

There is no pride in space at all. Will not be going again.

This is a hole in the wall typical Asian sushi place. I love the food and the service is absolutely awesome, but you have to get past the grungie; everything is so so good and fresh I try not to look too hard at cleanliness. We have only had one item so far that was not recommended and that was their fried Rice, it was so expensive. It did not taste that great and the quantity for the price was disappointing. We love the Bento box and every sushi roll I have tried has been spectacular. The pricing on those items are reasonable.

Took my daughter out here for some Sushi. Food was good and service wasn’t awful nor spectacular. Wasn’t super busy, a few open tables, but business was bustling away. Waitress seemed excited when we initially came in, but the demeanor changed slightly when I told her we needed to place the order to-go. She absolutely did her job well in upselling to dinner plates, lol. (Jimmy needs to give her a raise, lol.) I wish the menus explained better the ingredients (fish identification) on the menu or website somewhere. Daughter had fun guessing and deciding what she liked with her taste buds. Like what is the white meat/fish? Lol. Anyhow, I enjoyed my large dinner plate of sweet and sour chicken on bed of white rice. And some pork buns for my boys at home. I loved being able to get Chinese and Japanese food in the same place. Would go there again, ask way more questions, and be prepared for the upsale of a normal restaurant environment. $60order+20%Tip (maybe she was having a bad day and maybe this tip made her feel like my to go order wasn’t so worthless. Idk?)
