The vegetable soup with a mushroom soy base was packed with delicious vegetables (I also added tofu). The vegetables were not over cooked and the soup was so flavorful! The server informed me that the curry dishes are not vegan or even vegetarian as the chili paste they order from Thailand contains shrimp paste so beware of those items!
The atmosphere was comfortable and it’s nicely decorated. It’s also quite a large space.
I will return for the soup and possibly the Thai Hed as well 😁.

BEST THAI FOOD IN ALASKA!! The food was so good we got Pad See Eww , Tom Yum soup, and Spicy Catfish (came with a huge serving of rice enough for the three of us)! The Pad See Eww was so yummy the sauce and the noodles were perfect and chewy and fresh in all the dishes the veggies were perfectly cooked and coated in the delicious sauce like they made veggies taste good that impressive!! The Spicy Catfish is as so good MY FAVORITE, we got this in medium spicy (we got everything medium spicy) so delicate the catfish melt in your mouth and was paired perfectly with the sauce they cook it in!! Lastly the Tom Yum soup was amazing and had a great flavor served warm was the perfect dish to tie everything together!! Also the place was decorated so well and very clean and loved all the artwork in the restaurant! It seems like a local favorite because it was busy people were coming in continuously and to go orders flying out! 10/10 would recommend this place! AND omg the dishes that the food was served in was SO NICE the catfish in a FISH SHAPED BOWL like WOW so amazing!!

Bahn Thai does not disappoint everything is excellent. Very nice downtown location, our go to spot for a date night.
If you normally order the same thing I suggest you try a curry. The flavor is phenomenal. Panang curry is my favorite.

If you’re thinking of ordering anything “Thai hot” here, consider this a public service announcement: they do not mess around. It was brutally, ridiculously spicy—way beyond normal expectations—even for people who like heat. My mouth was on fire, and it ruined the entire meal.
Worse, when I called to ask about it (hoping for any kind of solution or even an apology), the manager couldn’t have been more dismissive. No warning when ordering, no care afterward, just a complete lack of customer service.

Came on Sunday. A group of 7 left saying they waited an hour and their tour bus was leaving. We waited almost an hour and still no food. No apology! Told us we would have another 20 mins. We left. Went to another restaurant! They are disorganized.
