This should not have this high of a rating. It might not be a 1, but it's not a 4.9. Prices are crazy for what amounts to chicken you have to pick the bones out of and some dry Mac N cheese. If you do order note the portion sizes are rather big, but that was not why we didn't finish. Frankly what we did eat didn't sit well the next day either so if you're touring and have a plane ride in the next few days I wouldn't recommend this.

What a Surprising find in Alaska. We went here off a recommendation from a Chena Springs employee. So glad he did & that we went. Spoke with the proprietor for a bit after he asked about why we were in Alaska. We asked the same & he gave his story. He made fresh cabbage for us after telling us how he does everything himself. Great young man & even better food. Of all the Jamaican spots I've been to, including Jamaica, his food is pretty good. He has a unique twist on his seasoning which made the jerk superb. This is definitely a Premier Eating Spot for Fairbanks and should be Highly Recommend. When we go back, this will be our 1st stop to eatParking: Parking is on the side, right by stairs to door

Chef Rico and his wife are amazing hosts and serve delicious Cuban food — salmon, shrimp, beef and chicken dishes all very artfully prepared and refreshing. And on top of that is the wonderful music he played. Really the best restaurant we’ve dined in Fairbanks!

Found this place while visiting the area, and we came to dine, because we saw they had 5 starts and great reviews! Wow, this was on the money! Place was snug and warm on a cold January evening, and the food that came out was absolutely delicious. So flavorful, hearty and a great portion size. What a delicious treat for the tummy and soul. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Soooooo good! Chef Rico was very pleasant and friendly. Such a cool Cuban vibe.

This is by far the BEST food we had the pleasure of having in Fairbanks! The music, the environment, the service, all of it is amazing!

Amazing balance of flavors in every dish! Fun to also chat with the owner and celebrity chef (several food network shows) that personally greets every table.

I'm a jerk chicken fan, and this place is TRASH. And overpriced. Save your appetite and money- stay away from this weird restaurant,

Visiting Fairbanks to see the Northern Lights and celebrate an anniversary, but who would have guessed that we would find an outstanding Cuban restaurant with wonderful live latin music! Jazz Bistro is owned by Cuban Chef Rico and his wife. I had the Cuban Salmon prepared with Cuban spices and accompanied with veggies, rice and beans and my wife had the Pollo Limon. Both were delicious. For dessert was authentic Cuban flan. Then to top it off, we were entertained by Rico with his jazz trio playing a mix of music with delightful latin rhythms. If you are visiting Fairbanks, Jazz Bistro is a don’t miss experience!

We had the Piri Piri Chicken, the Lechon Boricua Pork and the Pollo de Lemon all three were amazing and I know we will be eating there again soon

This is a lovely place to dine out It would be ideal for a date night, time out with friends, or family. Rico and Leonarda are very attentive and nice. Their professionalism and attentiveness truly stood out. They effortlessly catered to our needs, ensuring that we felt well taken care of. Also, the atmosphere and interior of this restaurant is cozy. What made the experience even more enjoyable was his perfect balance of charm and live music. The accessibility is also great! The food here was amazing, which is why I will be back. I had the Salmon Cuban style, fresh ingredients, perfect condiments, black beans with some peppers and style rices, Shrimp Ala Lemon de Ajo was another dish that I had, house bread was perfect as well, was also amazing. Overall it was a lovely dining experience and it is most definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in the area. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Fairbanks. Overall I would give 5 stars for superb service, great food!

We were there memorial day weekend. We had the best service and the most delicious food. Both the owner and his wife ran the restaurant. The owner/chef came out to every table to make sure the food was to our liking. Next time I come to Fairbanks, I will definitely visit this bistro again. Awesome food!
