Good food and great service.
The bartender/ waiter / everything, is by far THE best most attentive, dialed in person I have ever met in the food service industry. I came here for the first time the day prior and was so impressed by the food, and service I brought more people to come enjoy this experience first hand. Dejan pronounced differently than spelled. But this guy deserves a promotion and pay raise along with the hard working cooks in the back!! Thank you for the fine Alaska hospitality!!!

Really good Mexican food. The menu isn't huge but everything I've had has been great. They have homemade salsa, and lots of homemade sauces.
The service is always amazing, best service in town. You never have to wait long for anything.

So thankful for great bartenders at El Dorado! Came in after a street fair for a quick bite and great margaritas.

El Dorado for the win!!
We got the flautas appetizer and got 2 huge delicious ones! We ordered one with carne asada, which was really good, and one with pork which was fantastic! They came with a variety of dips which were all really good too!
For dinner, we got a pork chimichanga to share and it was also absolutely huge and delicious!

Came to El Dorado for dinner and had such a great experience I decided to come back. Shout out to Deon who’s customer service is amazing, he is always moving and making sure he’s checking in with guests. When I returned a second time he remembered me and welcomed me back , gotta say I felt super welcomed. The first time I ordered a chicken taco to go, on my second visit I got chicken enchiladas which were so delicious and the portions were great. Warm chips and salsa upon ordering my beer Deon is on his top game and I really appreciate being felt seen and welcomed. I will be coming back here again.

Best Mexican food in the USA! We live in San Diego, CA and were absolutely surprised by the quality of the food. My son continues to search for a similar place in Southern CA. We have yet to find one as good as El Dorado, 5 stars. Fantastic food! Great service! Many congrats to the owners. Please expand to CA!! We were there in August 2024, just updated the prior 5 star review with these comments. Bravo!

All the bad reviews are just old reviews and people whining about Fairbanks being Fairbanks. The restaurant has undergone a lot of changes in the last seven years. Also, I think people should base their reviews on their dining experience, Instead of being a bunch of Kyle‘s and Karen’s. If the restaurant is a little too warm for you, hey how about go to Mexico and eat? It’s pretty warm there I hear. Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in town, and by a lot!

They had a fire special for 18.50$ - 2 enchiladas, 1 chorizo taco, comes with rice and beans and a desert - chefs choice! Drinks were well priced. My wife and I spent a total of 61 dollars so very affordable for those on a budget. Server was great too

Update your hours and days. I remember eating here a couple of times and they were good. But recently when I tried to go here they were not open. Is the place gone under or something? What a shame.
Do not eat here! When we arrived I almost immediately wanted to leave on account of the fact that there was no air conditioning or perhaps they weren't using it. It was even hotter than it was outside and it was very hot outside. Everyone was seated on one side of the restaurant because the server said she could not guarantee that we wouldn't get neglected on the other side. The menu was definitely not what I remembered because she said she was using a short menu because they were short on cooks. We ordered sodas because the beer beer that my friend requested they were out of. Then came the food. I was hoping to get their hamburger because they used to have a very good hamburger but we had to settle on two enchilada specials and I decided to get the nachos. I was told by the other two in our party that the rice was inedible and tasted like it could have come off the floor! When one of them asked for more ice in her soda she was informed that they were short on ice and she couldn't spare to give us any more ice. As for my nachos I got the chicken nachos and searched through so many layers looking for the chicken. Finally it was located at the very bottom of the nachos. It was so disgusting that I left nearly the whole nacho plate over and if you ask anyone who knows me that is unheard of for me to do. I will frequently eat my own portion and then eat whatever somebody would have left over. On top of it my first instincts of I should have leaved came to a nasty climax as I got sick at 4:00 in the morning and had to run to the bathroom! This restaurant gets an f - for service, atmosphere and most especially the food! None of us will ever go back. I would sooner go hungry!
