Pike's Landing Reviews
The food was less than impressive considering the price. It’s not what it’s shown to be online. Don’t fall for the tourist trap! Save your money and time go somewhere else!
I can’t say enough about this place. It helped provide entertainment, great food, and great drinks while we waited for our next Alaskan adventure during our week long visit. I have to give a very special shout-out to Denaeuh. If you get a chance, don’t leave Fairbanks without spending time with her at the bar in Pike’s Landing restaurant. She’s a genuine person with outstanding customer service and hospitality. Her drinks, food recommendations, service, and conversation...read full review
Food was sub par, especially for the price. The hamburger was overcooked and burnt. It was $21 for a cafeteria style burger and packaged frozen fries. The seafood fettuccine was OK. The scallops were a good size but the shrimp were dispointing. The « garlic bread » was a ciabatta roll with butter. Definitely do not recommend.

Pike's Landing, located near Pike's Waterfront Lodge, offers a variety of dining options with a river view. The restaurant has a laid-back atmosphere, and the staff is generally friendly. Previously described as a classic northern bar meets restaurant, it features a beautiful view over the river. The menu includes a range of dishes, with a highly recommended Crab risotto and a superb Coconut prawn. The burger has received positive feedback for being delicious, perfectly cooked, and super juicy, while the fries were also noted as crispy. However, some dishes, like the lobster bisque, were mentioned as being a bit too peppery. The service can be slow, but servers are cheery, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful.
Currently, the restaurant is operating from a pop-up location due to a fire at the original site, but the atmosphere remains fabulous with a good view of the river. Guests have enjoyed the buffalo wings, which have a slight sweetness to the sauce and are crispy and delicious. The fries are still noted as solid, and diners have appreciated the outdoor seating experience, which was a pleasant surprise. Although the menu is now limited, the food received is still good, and the service has been attentive, ensuring that guests do not have to wait excessively long. While there are plans for new attractions in the coming years, Pike's Landing continues to be a good choice for those seeking a relaxed dining experience without a high cost, providing a great vibe and that classic Alaskan feel.
Recent reviews highlight friendly and attentive service, with some guests praising the kindness and warmth of staff. The chef does a great job cooking and preparing everything to perfection, and the atmosphere remains enjoyable, making it a favorite spot for visitors. However, some reviews mention slow service and high prices, with one noting that a cup of soup costs $13 without bread and calling it a tourist trap. Despite these critiques, many guests recommend visiting for the good food, drinks, and overall vibe.
