We came in the off season for our anniversary to Hotel Alyeska. Forte was one of the only restaurants open during the weekdays. Our service was excellent. I’ve been wanting chimichurri on meat for a while and this ribeye did not disappoint. It was excellent. They have great Caesar salad and I loved their coconut ice cream.

Beautiful, recently redecorated restaurant, but a truly regretable meal. Not busy when we were there- one of two seated tables. Seated by the bartender who led us to a table, dropped menus on it, and walked off without a word. Waiter was attentive and kind. Took orders for drinks and an Appetizer, brought drinks and forgot Appetizer. Ordered arugula salad and pasta. The salad dressing tasted ok but had wilted arugula and was missing hazelnuts. Was supposed to have toasted coconut, but we had to fish around to find little brown specks in the salad that we realized was the coconut. It tasted stale like it was the debris in the bottom of the prep container. We ordered halibut with the salad- it was just OK and didn't smell super fresh. The pasta arrived lukewarm with undercooked potatoes. Taste was meh and swimming in oil. We asked about the missing foccacia Appetizer and it was brought with an apology and offer to have it for free. That's good because the bread was dried out and tasteless. It looked mass produced and poor quality and was so dried put and hard I could have hammered a nail with it. It was served with bland ricotta that had some herbs visible mixed in but was totally tasteless. My wine with dinner was forgotten, which was a blessing since the food was barely edible. The waiter was very kind when we gave feedback about the atrocious meal and compted all but the alcohol, which we appreciated. Overall- don't waste your money. Leave the hotel and go to Jack Sprat, or get beer and fries and the Stizmark.

I didn't know what to expect, but I expected more than what we got. We are not the type of people to complain, and we are pretty easy to please. Maybe we are just not used to eating at an upscale place, but we do know the difference between great vs. average food and service. The host and our waitress were great, but that is where it ended. I ordered the "stuffed pasta" ravioli, and I figured for $32 it would be damn good. It was just ok, and there were 6 ravioli total. It was supposed to be topped with a lemon fetta and croutons....if the fetta and croutons were on the plate, I have seen more crumbs fall off of a piece of focaccia. Speaking of Focaccia, it was pretty dry and tasteless.
My wife ordered the arugula salad, which was kinda small but tasted good. She decided to "add protein" to her dish, and she went with the chicken. She said it was overcooked, and it was a small amount for $12 extra. She also got Affogato for dessert. The scoop of ice cream was tiny, and the espresso shot was burnt something terrible. The prices and portion sizes are out of control.
Definitely never going again.
(The pic shows the plate after I ate 2 ravioli)

Delicious food and quick service. I would give it 5 stars but it was a mess and needs some attention to cleanliness.

Service was very slow, took 2 and 1/2 hours to eat dinner. Almost took 45 min for the bread to come out. There are some more tasty places in town to check out!

A bad accident closed the road for over 8 hours so we diverted to the Aleskea hotel and so glad we did. The service was very friendly and the staff was very accommodating with the influx of stranded travelers. Beautiful resort and national park. Great place to be stranded for 8 hours if you have to be

Does this hotel have stock in arugula or is it just the absolute cheapest side they can find? It comes with absolutely everything.
Stopped in for breakfast before the spa, decided to splurge on breakfast before they opened. 100 dollars later, overcooked eggs, Un toasted bread and arugula salads we left commenting that was the last time. There are really good restaurants around town, this isn't one of them and they're not even trying.
Me and my family drove in from Anchorage to Alyesha Resort Forte in order to have good dinner experience but instead we were left with sour experience. First of all our server was not serving us right- we had to wait for an hour and half to get our meals which didn’t even arrive after the delay and when half of the order arrived it was undercooked. We talked to the manager on what was causing the delay and he was not at all helpful or accommodating and kept giving excuses. Overall it was waste of our time and we left without eating. I would not recommend people to visit this place.

Food was fantastic, but you will leave hungry. Portions were extremely small for the price. $38 for spaghetti, no sauce, about an ounce or two of crab, some spices and noodles.

We were very happy with our decision to eat here. Lunch was still being served at 3pm which meant lunch prices! The winter squash with wild rice salad was really flavorful. Hubby was happy with his open face meatball sandwich. Beautiful window view of the mountains, quiet at this time of day.

The food was just so disappointing and bad. Crostini was rock hard, chip your teeth hard. Braised beef had no flavor, polenta was not edible. Pizza was somehow black and undercooked. The best part was the honey ice cream. SO EXPENSIVE for terrible tasting food. Atmosphere was fine, server was great.

The restaurant is lovely, the food is subpar and the price is over the top. Probably the worst food I've ever been served in life.
