This was our first time here and like everything else at the Alyeska Resort the establishment was first class, no expense spared. Unfortunately this leaves them with charging some ridiculous prices. The tram is free if you book a reservation but if not it is $45 per person.. absolutely absurd. They have a seven course prix fixe menu but only four of the courses were what I would call good. If you want the wine pairing that they have chosen it is at an additional cost. Overall it was a nice experience to have one time but I would never go back, it was way too overpriced for the quality of food and despite the excellent service and atmosphere I can't eat either one of those.

Outstanding service by our server Kelly. Probably the best service from any restaurant I have eaten at worldwide. We eat at many Michelin starred restaurants and this was easily the best service even without a Michellin star. Food was outstanding. The lobster bisque was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Update: woke up nauseated and with diarrhea feeling very sick. We believe it was due to the undercooked fish.
Update 3 years later:
We were not as pleased with our experience this time as we were our last. It seems much has changed. The menu was subpar and lacked creativity as well as flavor. The menu left our pallets unsatisfied. The flavors were very green and incredibly tangy or lemony for every coarse. The Halibut seemed to be undercooked…. The entrees all lacked and portions have changed since we last went. Attention to detail was not there and in our opinion the only thing good was the view and each-others company. We used to recommend this place but after our experience, it will be our last time and we will not recommend. We left unsatisfied and disappointed. It was our anniversary dinner and with a $350 bill (no alcohol) a weeks worth of groceries for a single meal it did not satisfy as it did with our last visit. We actually hit a burger place after our meal, and had dessert elsewhere because the 2-3 bites of dessert left us feeling unfulfilled primarily because last time the portions were decent. Not to mention for the cost and supposed 5 Star rating, people were wearing sweatpants and hoodies next to us. There is no dress code. There were also children screaming. Either make it a family restaurant or not, but change the prices according to the experience. If you want to be five star, then you need to BE five star. Rest in peace Seven Glaciers as that was our final experience with you.

Wow! Exceeded our expectations! We have eaten at many high end restaurants and Seven Glaciers surpasses them all! Hands down the best… Everything, from the food, service and our attentive waiter was phenomenal. We even arrived with the latest reservation 8:30, but that did not affect the quality of our food or the service. We are locals and plan on returning again soon. If we ever leave Alaska this is the one thing we will miss!!!
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing — unfortunately, the food fell far below expectations, especially for a fine dining restaurant.
My wife has celiac disease, and the kitchen was informed at the start of our meal. While most dishes were already gluten-free, the attempts at modification or substitution were poorly executed. For example, the pasta “alternative” was a tiny portion of spaghetti noodles with a green sauce — something I’d expect to prepare for a child, not be served at a high-end establishment.
Dessert was equally disappointing. The modification required was known from the moment we ordered, yet it was obvious it hadn’t been removed from the freezer until just before serving. It was meant to be creamy but arrived frozen solid, requiring a steak knife to cut through. Even then, it was nearly inedible.
We’ve dined at fine restaurants all over the world, and this ranks near the bottom of our experiences. Rarely have I left a fine dining establishment feeling disappointed, but this was one of those rare occasions. At over $500 for three people (no alcohol), the value simply wasn’t there. I’ve had far better meals, service, and atmosphere for under $100 — even in Alaska.
I would not recommend this restaurant, nor would I make future reservations. Great service and an amazing atmosphere can’t compensate for food that misses the mark this badly — and not just in terms of dietary accommodations.

It's ok for the culinary experience, kind of hit or miss. Riding the tram to the top of the mountain and seeing the view is nice if it's clear.
It was 48° outside and the air conditioning was blowing inside the restaurant. People wearing coats spending $500 on dinner. I'm not sure what's going on here, but it was the same at the hotel restaurant as well. Get your HVAC sorted Alyeska.

The food was excellent. The good stops here. The service was, frankly, terrible. We were greeted quickly and our server seemed knowledgeable. However, our orders came out very slowly. Staff rarely checked on us. The restaurant brags about its awards. They are resting on their past to laurels. When looking at the wall, those awards were awarded some time ago. Other than the food, it's just a run-of-the-mill restaurant. The four in our party will not return.

It is an experience that no one should have. I made reservation 2-3 weeks before arriving to Alaska. While making reservation, I specifically mentioned we have 19month old. Today when we went up there, we had very unpleasant experience. Manager walked up to us and said to keep our baby quiet. I mean we already are conscious and doing our best to keep him engaged and be quiet. However the manager approach and choice of words was hurtful and we didn’t feel like staying there anymore. I got him out immediately and my wife said this is not place we want to eat. When we said to manager, there is absolutely no empathy, said okay, you can leave. Wow! If they think that toddler is problem they should limit the age who can be in restaurant. Whoever guests complained they definitely are insensitive to the situation. We had to go look for another restaurant and wait for 45mins to get a table while toddler was hungry. Absolutely unacceptable! Hope these guys change their approach and be better. I saw @four diamond and wine spectator awards for last 25years and irony is they should have learnt to be humane, compassionate and empathetic. These awards should be given to service and how customer feel about food and service and not for having fancy list or just standards.

Didn't care for the music. Portions were small for all the seven courses. I did enjoy the steak (quite small) and noodles (again, small). The salads were nothing to write home about. The carrot was delicious also, but that's me like a sidedish and not a meal. Too expensive for what you get. The Smores dessert was ridiculous (not much of anything on the plate as you can see in the photo). P.S. If you will have wine, just buy the bottle and save yourself $$$$

Good views
This restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience perched atop the stunning peaks of Girdwood, Alaska. But to secure a table, I recommend advance reservations—sometimes months ahead. Also, dining guests enjoy a complimentary tram ride to the summit, adding breathtaking views. The menu currently features a three- or four-course dinner selection, showcasing fine ingredients and proper preparation. We indulged in the Filet of Beef, cooked to a flawless tenderness, and the Honey-Glazed King Salmon, perfectly balanced with sweetness and a buttery texture. Each dish exemplified care, and the appreciation for quality cuisine.
Beyond the exceptional food, the service was warm and attentive, ensuring every detail contributed to a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Between great flavors, awe-inspiring mountain views, and perfect hospitality, the experience is well worth the investment—an essential culinary destination for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the grandeur of Alaska.
Highly Recommended!
