Been going there since the 70's. Menu has never changed. Still the best food in the state. But the latest change was troubling, the selection of jelly has gone away, the character of service is degraded. :(
Tried the giant sweet roll and it was absolutely amazing! The inside of the place was really cool with a cozy, welcoming feel that made the experience even better. Perfect spot to enjoy a treat and relax.
The Bake Shop in Girdwood is an absolute gem! Their sourdough pancakes and massive sweet rolls are the stuff of legend. With a cozy, rustic atmosphere and friendly service, it's the perfect spot to fuel up before a day on the slopes or a hike. A true Alaskan institution.
