We had an unexpectedly delicious dinner (two pizzas, salad, and a soup) on a cold and rainy November evening. The place was warm, the pizza was fresh and full of taste, and the local live music was fun and a perfect volume.

Absolutely phenomenal!!! Our cruise ship tendered us out to do shore excursions and we ended up stranded for a bit so many of us flocked to Alpenglow from the recommendation of our guides and the locals and I can’t overstate how great these people are at their jobs! As someone with links to Chicago, I know a good pizza when I see and taste one and this would rival even some of those restaurants. Wonderful work ethic and positivity which helped brighten up a dreary day! In fact, the whole town is just awesome. I don’t know if I’ll ever travel back to Alaska but if I do, Haines is the place to be!

I had the Diavala pizza. Wow! The ingredients are fresh and the combination was probably the best pizza I've had. The store is in downtown Haines and easy to find. There are many choices and they're all baked in a fire oven with the lovely char on the bottom. I highly recommend this restaurant! Oh, and it was fast.

We were so excited to find wood fired pizza. But, alas, our excitement was ill founded. Yes, their crust was great. But the service was mediocre and the place was less than clean. Only one (out of two) of the bathrooms were in service and it was disgusting. They don't serve beer or wine, as the Google listing claims, and their soda dispenser wasn't working either. Basically a big bummer
