Great bar in a small town/city of Haines, Alaska. Nice heart thumping music, pool tables, good beer and alcohol and friendly staff. The place gets crowded when the cruise ships are in port. Because of how busy they were, the food we ordered took almost an hour. The food was tasty.
We were among the many cruise ship visitors in town and decided to have a cold beer in the Fogcutter Bar. The atmosphere is great and the staff friendly, We noticed that they were putting up Mardi Gras decorations in August so had to ask about this interesting tradition. They have this themed celebrations on Labour Day as it marks the end of the summer season.
We've been here several times from Whitehorse over the years and always have a good time. The pizza, tater tots and mini hot dogs are tasty - beers are good and relatively cheap. Outdoor area in the back is nice on a sunny day!
