We stayed in Haines for almost a week and visited here for lunch and a coffee most mornings. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere and both food and coffee was fantastic. Added bonus for me is that they had gluten free bread so I had a choice of sandwiches and a couple of sweet treat choices.

Our favourite little place in Haines. They do great coffee and the people working there are absolutely lovely! I had the Cuban and it was delicious, and the best part was they had really good gluten free bread for my partner! She had the turkey bacon Swiss and it was awesome!

Rusty Compass Coffeehouse is absolutely adorable - one of those rare finds that instantly makes you feel welcome. It’s clearly loved by both locals and tourists, and for good reason. The service is super friendly, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel right at home. The menu is varied with something for everyone, from delicious coffee and specialty drinks to fresh, flavorful food. I had a hard time choosing because everything looked so good! What more could you ask for in a cozy, inviting café? Highly recommended!

Best damn ruben sandwich you’ve ever had, just don’t burn your mouth, it’s served HOT! Turkey with chipolte aioli and apple slices on fresh sourdough a killer combo (like chipolte and apples go so good together, who knew). Drop in and sample, you won’t be sorry.
Such a delightful gem in Haines! The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The coffee choices are plentiful. I've only had the coffee so far, which is great, but the food selections look tempting! The atmosphere is cozy and congenial.
