We were very impressed with the service and food was very flavorful. Would recommend the appetizer combination plate. It has a nice variety of different kinds of fish... it was such a peaceful beautiful experience dining back in Halibut Cove!
Hard to give an overall rating. One of the most memorable and unique dining experiences I’ve had. We had beautiful weather, a calm ferry ride, and the ambiance is truly amazing. The food was hit or miss. The good: halibut ceviche, salmon dip, pickled salmon (who knew!?!), oysters, the black cod. The not so good: over cooked king salmon and unpalatably salty miso soup. This was recommended to us as a must do dining experience in Homer. We purchased passage on the Danny J which was charming but took a long time.
Halibut Cove is beautiful. The outdoor seating of the restaurant very nice. The wait staff seemed hurried and understaffed. We got a cocktail to start with, a mojito and margarita.
