What a great place to eat. We were greeted like an old friend. Never have eaten here before and was stopping through Homer. Heard about this place and it did not disappoint. The steak was amazing. Low key but nice. Great service and super friendly. Wish we had more time so we could eat there again. This is a must if you are in Homer!

First time experience. Service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. Our Server was very attentive but not excessive. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary and identified in our online reservation that was the occasion. We were presented with a nice card signed by the entire staff and a desert to go, all of which was a big surprise. We highly recommend AJ's.

A bit disappointed compared to what we were expecting. The host was wonderful when we first walked in! The appetizers were good, but everything else missed the mark. Paid their MP of $160 for 1lb of king crab that was a little rubbery. My husband’s fries were cold. Not “cooled because they sat for a bit”, but actually cold. The burger was average, the steak was average. The waiter kept answering “I don’t know” when we asked about different menu items. When asking about dessert, I asked him if the chocolate cake was rich, and he said “I don’t know, it’s the chocolate cake from Costco.” $9 for a half-slice of Costco’s chocolate cake that costs $18 for the entire cake. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was pretty nice, except for a large table of drunk people that literally yelled almost the entire time. However, that’s not on the restaurant, just contributed to an already lackluster meal. Overall, for a $300+ bill, we expected a slightly better experience.

Great service and great food. AJ's is a real jewel in Homer. Great place for a nice dinner and a date night.

Scallops over pesto risotto with butternut squash was so amazing! Husband had scallops and fillet with mashed potatoes and asparagus, also over the top! His cup of seafood chowder and my garden salad with blue cheese dressing was better than ever before. Our server was prompt and attentive with a joyful manner. We live in Homer and cherish A J's as a special gem.

Fantastic food! We had filet, scallops, pasta Alfredo ( with scallops) and prime rib. All was perfectly cooked! Excellent flavor, portion size. Great cosmo!

Scallops regularly prepared to seafood perfection . Great on a Caesar salad and as a main event.

My wife's prime rib wasn't the best, very fatty and not cooked to her well done wishes. My filet and scallops were perfect!, very flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. Probably won't order prime rib again but already made reservations for our next visit. As always the service is impeccable!

We had a dinner for a group of us (8 people) here on a Saturday night and they did an awesome job! Everyone loved their meals and the meat was cooked to everyone's liking. I would highly recommend!

We all immediately noticed how smooth our draft beers were. Service was excellent throughout especially Camden our waiter. Food was great. Felt like we were crammed in the corner table but that can be overlooked. Would highly recommend.

This cozy place has some of the best food you can find anywhere in Homer or Alaska. The service is very personal from the greeter to the wait staff. They excel at making you feel special. Our waiter, Camden, was first rate and recommended food items we were not disappointed. Hats off to Tony, the maestro in the kitchen, everything he sent out exceeded our expectations. We will be back before we leave Homer. Oh did I mention this was their first night open for the season. The pianist was also another pleasant surprise

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and do so at AJ's just about every year. The excellent food and service bring us back but I must say this year we felt rushed - the food, as delicious as it was, was there before we even had a chance to finish our appetizer. We've always enjoyed the atmosphere and our chats over a wonderful, easy meal - not so much this year with the speed in which we were forced to deal with.

Went last night for dinner. Had Camden for a waiter and he was awesome. Was friendly, great service. Food was amazing.
