Great fresh seafood, as one would expect being on the Homer spit. Friendly service and good beer. Thought about going back for dinner ... cooked at camp instead.

Wheelchair accessibility: Could be difficult. Bathrooms are upstairs, no elevator.

We ordered the steamers, raw oysters, pan roast, and creme brulee. Everything was excellent!! The scallops and shrimp in the pan roast were cooked perfectly. The oysters and steamers were tender and very flavorful. The servers were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!

The best seafood on the Homer AK Spit and maybe in all of Homer!!
Their garlic white wine sauce and creole sauce are amazing and refreshed throughout the evening service. Seafood selections are created in front of the customers while the sent of the amazing dishes tantalize your tastebuds!
I’m still not sure what my favourite was… the creamy/briny Ketchikan Alaskan Oysters or the Strawberry/Rhubarb crème brûlée!

Adding my 5 stars. Would give more if it were possible. A great place! The owner and crew have worked out their system and recipe for some excellent dishes. We came back here two days in a row to try more of the items on the menu. All were outstanding!

The Broken Oar is, without a doubt, our favorite spot in Homer! ...and there are some great restaurants in Homer. The menu is not huge, but each dish is dialed in and packed full of incredible flavor. The oysters are fresh, huge and oh so tasty! It's great to sit at the bar and observe the open kitchen, as the friendly and skilled team is like an octopus, one organism with multiple limbs all in-synch. Truly professionals at their craft, creating an unforgettable dining experience. The beverage selection is well curated, offering top notch wiines and local beer, cider and soft drinks. If I could give this place six stars, I would!!!

Small place, probably will wait a bit. Pacific oysters were good, crab cakes very good. Limited view of water at bar. Also sell frozen seafoods.
