Boat Yard Cafe Reviews
Some locals suggested this place to me when I was out on the Spit several years ago disappointed that a favorite food truck that served fish and chips was closed. I promptly came here, and have looked forward to it all winter ever since. I have had halibut sandwiches, halibut/cod/rockfish and chips, rockfish tacos, a carne asada taco, a Helper hamburger, their frozen ice cream, and more. There are many drink choices; a refrigerator full. All of the fixings for the tacos and sandwiches...read full review
Still talking about how good our lunch was Saturday, May 9. Boat Yard Cafe is a must when you’re in Homer. We shared the Yard Bird Chicken Sandwich (Superb) the Bleu Bacon Burger, and of course the Brussels. All of it was delicious. We also shared a table with some nice peeps. 😊
The owners are always trying new things and make an ordinary burger extraordinary.

Based on the reviews, the Boat Yard Cafe offers excellent food with a great menu. The burgers are excellent, made with fresh ground beef not frozen, and come with homemade pickles. The fries are cooked perfect, and the homemade ranch is excellent. The fish and chips is the BEST, with options like rockfish and cod, and the seafood batter is just right, tasty and not too thick. Other popular meals include the Cosmic Fish Sando, the Yard Bird Chicken Sandwich, the Bleu Bacon Burger, and the Reuben. The Brussels sprouts are roasted with lots of almonds. The service is friendly and fast. Seating is limited during peak hours, but the location is clean and neat. There are tables indoors and outdoors, with a view out to the Bay. The atmosphere is great, in an active commercial boatyard. The food is delicious, and it is a must when in Homer.
