Hours are incorrect. The windows are boarded up and it is most definitely not open.

Went here last month with friends before a fishing charter. Good solid breakfast. Expensive for breakfast and seating is limited by then again, you are in AK.

The door was propped open on a very windy day making the seating area chilly. There was a waiting line, No employees cleared tables the next customer had to clear and clean their own table. Portions were small. I had a out of town guest with me I had to apologize for my lunch choice. I have eaten here before with a much better experience. ?

This restaurant came recommended to us. It really was terrific. Great food! Terrific blueberry pancakes and egg sandwich.

Excellent food, but the bathroom was rather gross, which is always bothersome and disappointing; it leaves you wondering what the kitchen looks like. The side salad was pretty generous and the Widgeon sandwich was very tasty. It’s not cheap, but it’s probably one of the best food options on the Spit.Kid-friendliness: All of the tables are high-tops, so the high chairs they have don’t even reach the table making it impossible for a little one to eat at the table. If the weather is good you can sit out at picnic tables to solve this issue, but it was and often is rainy. They don’t have many kid-friendly items on the menu; thankfully I packed food for my kids and just got a side of fries for them to enjoy.

Located on the spit this was a great location for our breakfast. We had a variety of diner preferences including someone who needs gluten free options and were impressed with the menu and the beautiful presentation of our meals. Each was delicious with nice sized portions. We had the Eggs Benedict, a Mushers Meal, the Breakfast sandwich, and a lovely GF chocolate almond brownie. And coffee is included with your meal!

Not much of an atmosphere, really, but the food and service were superb. It's a bit higher priced than we like to spend for breakfast so it's a special treat when we do go, but it's worth it. Delicious!

Delish breakfast! Fabulous eggs Benedict and my husband really enjoyed his Iditarod breakfast bowl. Free drip coffee and I really enjoyed the cappuccino from next door. The jam was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Place was so fabulous we bought the cookbook from their award winning chef.

Quick and fairly good menu. However the food did not deliver for us. Breakfast potatoes were right on the verge of burnt, ketchup couldn't fix this one. Eggs Benedict was subpar and the biscuits were toasted with no moister what so ever. Maybe another time La Baleine.

Really wanted to love this place because of how delicious their food looks on insta and their positive outlook. But went for lunch and got their salmon sandwich and salmon bowl and both underwhelmed in flavor and were a bit dry (salmon in sandwich was a bit overcooked for my liking). If I were in the area, I'd try again for breakfast food though, that all looked bomb.
