“Saw this bar as a local stop while on a cruise….we had the best time! Howard the bartender is amazing and we had a great time! The locals were welcoming and the duckfart shot was fun and an Alaskan favorite!! Plus the views were great Just take the shuttle into town with Sue! It’s a short walk to The Office The Ryans from Cumming, GA 😂”

“In last September we stopped at Duck Point Smokehouse during our trip to Alaska and we were blown away! We enjoyed smoked Alaskan salmon dip and grilled Alaskan salmon while looking out over the water and mountains - absolutely stunning.”

“4 Stars – Delicious Food, But Pricey

The food was served piping hot, fresh, and very flavorful, with quick preparation and attentive service. The atmosphere is definitely a highlight, located right on the ocean with both indoor seating and a covered outdoor area that’s especially enjoyable when the weather cooperates. It’s a beautiful spot to sit back, relax, and take in the views. One drawback is that the menu did not list any prices, which made the final bill a bit of a surprise. The meals are quite expensive, though that’s not unexpected in a remote, touristy spot like Hoonah. Overall, a great place to enjoy a tasty meal in a scenic setting, just be prepared for higher costs.”

“This was the last stop on our cruise and it was the most beautiful spot on the trip!
The crab house is a must and is the last place to get crab on your way out (if it is your last stop) Crab was awesome and a good price when compared to the other stops! Wish we spent more time in Hoonah!”
