“This is, hands down, the best restaurant in Alaska. If you've lived here for any length of time you'll understand when I say that restaurants up here don't have to sell great food to stay open, it only has to be edible. I'm not sure if that's because of the lack of options when eating out or if they have yet to discover salt in this state but that's clearly not the case at Susitna Bar and Grill. Keep up the good work guys.”

“Friday and Saturday nights they have rib eye steak dinners for $40. It's a 16 to 20 oz rib eye, cooked the way you like it. It comes with a small salad (with tomatoes, onions, black olives, cheese and bacon bits), garlic bread in the form of a roll (it tasted like sourdough to me), 3 breaded shrimp, and a baked potato with butter, sour cream, and bacon bits. You can add sauteed mushrooms for $3 additional and sauteed onions for $3 additional. It was all very good. My steak had hardly any fat. My friend's steak had quite a bit of fat. It was very flavorful; very tasty. The service was excellent. It's a bar, with pool tables and dart boards, so the atmosphere is what you would expect in a bar.”

“The pulled pork and brisket i had today was top notch! Not overly smokey and so deliciously tender...🤤. the BBQ sauce was such a burst of zing and a tiny spicy. it was a 10 out of 10🤤. GLUTEN FREE might I add! I felt comfortable and safe to eat knowing I wasnt going to be 'glutened', if you will. The owners are pretty incredible to boot! Very content in my experience and will definitely be a return comfortable :)”
