Great experience coming here on my last day in Juneau. Really really reasonably priced and great quality Pho.

We were in Juneau for a day off a cruise ship and wanted to grab dinner somewhere less touristy, and more so where the locals eat year-round. This was exactly that! Dumplings and staple Vietnamese soups make up most of the menu. The shrimp dumplings and chicken steam bun were both quite tasty and good quality. For soup, I had the chicken hometown mystery (medium spice). The portion was generous, it had an excellent broth, and the noodles were super tender. It had a good amount of heat if you have some spice tolerance. This place definitely has a hole-in-the-wall vibe, but we loved the guy who was running that place -- good vibes and pretty quick service. I'd highly recommend if you find yourself looking for some good local food.

That guy works so hard to provide delicious pho and dumplings, etc. Bring cash. Leave a good tip. Be prepared to wait...its worth it. Winter comfort food.

Wonderful food! Do not follow Google maps to where the Readings on the map show the restaurant is. It’s at the address in the link.

Mediocre Vietnamese restaurant. Got the Chicken Pho and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was very watery. No distinct chicory or condensed milk flavor. I couldn’t even finish it.
The pho broth was ok. A bit salty. No condiments provided, everything is mixed in the bowl already. The chicken was very bland.
If I were having this back in my home town, this would have been a 1-2 star but I am giving a bit of a break being ina smaller town in Alaska.
Also, the coffee and pho took over 20 minutes to bring out. I can understand a made from scratch dish taking this long but not a pre-made dish like pho where it is mainly a quickly assembled dish.
The previous reviews led me astray at this place.

Delicious! One-man operation today, and the food came quickly, and was delicious. The steamed bun was generous, and a nice mix of flavors without being too spicy. The "Old Friend Noodle soup" had a rich and surprisingly complex broth, and the slices of meat were good. Plenty of skinny noodles, and it was really tasty to the end. The decor is simple and bright with a hodgepodge of supplies lying around that actually gave the place atmosphere. Really recommend this place.

After a long day whale watching and visiting Mendenhall Glacier I was craving warm and cozy pho. We picked the perfect place. My chicken noodle soup was perfectly fragrant, piping hot and so flavorful with TONS of chicken. My husband had spicy pork noodle soup and he asked for extra spice. He said it was very flavorful and spiced to perfection. We are so glad we found this family owned cafe and it was such a short walking distance to our ship.
