“We really enjoyed Imperial Bar. Most tourists went to the Red Dog because it seems like the place to go since I suppose it's closest to the port perhaps? But me and my wife like to dig in and go have a brew with the locals. That's what the Imperial is. A little off the beaten path but gives you a great taste of a local Alaskan bar. Red Dog might as well have been an Applebees. Great ambiance and service.“
“Solid place to grab a drink and a bite. TVs all over the place so a great place to come during playoffs for any sports, although you need to get there early because it gets packed. Tuesdays they have fun cocktails so you’ll have a great time whenever and with whoever you go with.“
“Good things first: the wait staff were very friendly and polite. A special shout out to our sever Ryan who was great. The food was delicious. The setting was cozy and classic. It was great being able to enjoy a meal in the comfort of our hotel.It was disappointing in the sense that the information about the restaurant as listed on the hotel site was so incorrect. Part of choosing the hotel and restaurant for our dinner was the listing for "live music or karaoke " neither of which existed and from what we were told may not have ever or in a very long time existed. I ordered an appetizer as my entree, which Ryan understood, but unfortunately the bartender did not. It was "plopped" on the table without a pause, without any appetizer plates, and well ahead of my husband's meal. Ryan did an excellent job of "speeding up" my husband's meal to help correct the situation. It put a bit of a damper on our experience. While I won't say "I will never go back" it is unlikely it will be my first choice again.“
