6 Best American Restaurants in Ketchikan

“Great food and service and all around cute cafe. I was there around lunchtime and started with delicious coffee and poutine fries covered in Gorgonzola cheese and vegetarian mushroom gravy. Then for lunch I had the salmon filet with rice pilaf with subtle coconut flavor. I also tried my friends lamb burger which was beautifully seasoned and the most delicious lamb I’ve ever had. All around great place to stop while in Ketchikan!Vegetarian options: Most of the items on menu seemed vegetarian friendly”

“Took a chance while on our cruise to rent a car and drive out to the Knudson Marina for some less crowded fishing. The views were amazing, we caught a few flounder, and assumed we’d have to drive back into town for lunch. Then we found the Barn Door Eatery.BEST. MEAL. OF. OUR. TRIP.The Halibut fish and chips was perfectly fried and lightly crispy. The calamari had an amazing spiciness. The chicken burger? Fantastic.Sliders & burgers? “Went to the cafe. Friendly and good vibe place. Good food, friendly staff and generally everyone looked happy and relaxed.Service was prompt. Not many options for seating but we found a table quite fast.Central location on a Main Street with street parking available. Walking distance from the harbour where the cruises dock. The evening we visited there were 3 people playing live music on guitar and violin and one of them was an elderly gentleman who was playing the guitar with a joyful expression and twinkle in his eyes. God bless him”

“Went in recently while on vacation, not knowing really where to go and what to experience we were lucky enough to have Josh as are bartender and server. He made our whole trip easier telling us all the great spots to see, what fish are being caught this time of the year, and even a few bear stories!!! The food was delicious, definitely worth the stop!”
