“This place was nice. The atmosphere was good. A friend and I reviewed the menu from outside on the window after being referred here from the bookstore about 2.5 blocks up (just before the Red Bridge [an important and recognized landmark in Ketchikan]). However, the dish we wanted which cost $32 was not available. We had to buy a much higher priced item if we wanted salmon which is specifically why we went there. We both loved meal for lunch and both agreed it was good but the rice pilaf wasn't up to bar or didn't taste as good as either of us expected -- it was a little hard in places. The fillet we wanted came with a sauce that we both hoped to try. The meal we received didn't seem to have that same sauce or not enough of it for us to notice. Additionally, neither of us was certain there was any type of salad dressing on the greens. overall, for the short period of time that we were there, yes, I would recommend the place.“

“October 10,2023A woman I met outside of here got mad that her husband was smiling at me. I didnt fully realize he was married. She's had it in for me ever since. Like I'm the bad guy for his antagonistic behavior? Anyways I went to that place with my Mom one night. She wasn't our waiter. But she seemed pretty chummy with the one that was. When I gave her the tip. She said thank you an laughed an got saliva sprayed all over my face!?@# I feel like she did it on purpose. For the other chic.Another day, I went in there to use the bathroom. I heard yelling from mike? He was close to my ex. Not sure what he was saying. I can't hear ppl when they're yelling. He yelled again after I left. He was in front. I thought was strange. Thought he was a cook.Usually great service. The last time I was here. I had to grab menu's for my Mother & myself. The waitresses were taking too long to get to us. & one of them hates me for some reason. Not sure why. I never did anything to her. She always has a long face whenever I'm around. Doesn't talk. Light complected. Light brown hair. Kinda heavy.(see above)i feel i was set up.“

“It's your only choice inside the airport. The biscuits and gravy is popular. I got the Ivars clam chowder in a bread bowl. It was very good. They have plenty of coffee and chai options as well as snacks. There is a full bar next door with nice views of the water. The staff was very helpful and friendly.“

“To close out our excursion in Ketchikan, we wanted to have dinner but not have to rush to get back to our ship. Bar Harbor Ale House was literally beside our ship so we figured a dinner here would probably not jeapordize our return! We had a rough start to getting a table though to be fair to this restaurant, there was 16 of us ranging from a 1 year old all the way to adults as 3 families and considering the size of this restaurant, they aren't used to accommodating groups of this nature. Thankfully they have a covered patio with some heat lamps which we rearranged (ourselves?) to make enough room for us all. The older kids had their own table around the corner which wasn't ideal, but it worked though management wasn't too thrilled with us initially. Then we started to order food and beverages and I think they realized they were making a killing off of us and suddenly we had all sorts of good attention from any and everyone that worked at this restaurant. Jokes aside, we did have a lovely server who really worked hard to make sure we were well taken care of and we all thought she did an amazing job.The happiest moment was realizing that they had BBQ'd chicken with Alabama White Sauce on the menu. Something I had in Alabama and LOVED. It came paired with mac n' cheese, one of my faves as well. We talked and enjoyed some family time on our last stop before heading back to Vancouver. Overall, the cruise was a lot of fun, but having some food made on land was extremely exciting as cruise food all starts to taste the same after awhile. Our order came and the white sauce did not disappoint! It took me back to my meal in Mobile, AB and I was so happy to have this again. The rest of the diners were happy with their food and although I have a strong aversion to seafood, I at least had to say I tried salmon in Alaska which I did, and didn't enjoy. It really is fishy no matter how much it apparently isn't, haha!We settled the bill and our kids were excited to have a wolf approach us at the table just as we were getting up to leave. He was tame, but we didn't want to take any chances so we left with all kids in tow!Final fun moment was using the restroom. Best sign ever above the toilet. Go and find out. That's all I'm sayin!“
