“I ordered a mushroom burger with sweet potatoe fries , I thought it was expensive until it arrived it was huge, perfectly cooked with all fresh Onion, tomatoes and lettuce, the fries were perfect crispy. it was worth every penny. Very clean, warm atmosphere on a snowy evening and great service.“
“When visiting Kodiak we have tried to enjoy Olds River Inn so many times. And so glad it finally worked out after a long day of fishing! It was SO worth the wait! They fit us in without a reservation, the food and service was amazing! The halibut poppers, halibut cheeks AND all of the desserts were the best choices! But everything was good! Stop in and check them out for sure!“
“Who doesn't like a good crab cake! I've enjoyed crab cakes coast to coast and even found a few palatable crab cakes in the Midwest thousands of miles from the chilly salt water known for producing the best crabs. I've even proudly served guests and friends my home cooked crab cakes, a recipe I stole from Emeril years ago. Ok, so Mike likes crab cakes however, I never thought I would consider traveling just for a crab cake until I dined at the Chart Room. The Chart Room is a great little restaurant in the Best Western Kodiak Inn. The restaurant provides a beautiful view of the harbor and is currently home to the BEST Crab Cake (yes this appetizer deserves capitalization) I have ever had. They're called Coastal Cakes on the menu:Fresh Crab, shrimp, light on the extras ie bread crumbs onions peppers ect commonly found in the cakes, perfectly fried, and served with their house chili aioli. Holy smokes these are good!! The Chart Room offers several seafood options to include three kinds of crab, Halibut, Salmon and I'm sure they are all delicious and I suggest you go for the Coastal Cakes and stay for the Entrees Forgive my poor pictures...I was fork deep into the deliciousness when I realized I forgot to take my pictures“
“Tony & her crew have always run a top shelf restaurant. The menu is simple, just long enough to provide variety but short enough to allow a manageable inventory & focus on quality. The daytime atmosphere is amazing, then the transition to an upbeat roadhouse in the evening is seamless. Even though we live in Monashka, it’s well worth the drive for great food & a great vibe.“
