The Rendezvous Reviews
Tony & her crew have always run a top shelf restaurant. The menu is simple, just long enough to provide variety but short enough to allow a manageable inventory & focus on quality. The daytime atmosphere is amazing, then the transition to an upbeat roadhouse in the evening is seamless. Even though we live in Monashka, it’s well worth the drive for great food & a great vibe.
Delicious and great friendly Service!

The Rendezvous is a popular local spot in Kodiak known for its friendly atmosphere and good food. The restaurant has a cozy, Alaska-style vibe, where customers often know each other, creating a welcoming environment. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is kept clean.
The menu features a variety of tasty options, including fish and chips, clam chowder, steak tacos, and cheeseburgers. The clam chowder is praised for its spice and generous clam content, while the fish and chips come with a crispy panko crust and fries cooked in beef tallow. Many ingredients are locally sourced, emphasizing freshness and quality.
Specialty items like the halibut burger, salmon burger, and cod sandwich are highly recommended, with the halibut burger being a standout, grilled to perfection and delicious. Tater tots are also a favorite for their golden crunch. The restaurant offers a good selection of local beers on tap, cans, bottles, wines, and cocktails, enhancing the dining experience.
Overall, The Rendezvous is considered one of the best places in Kodiak, worth the trip for its great atmosphere, friendly staff, and satisfying food. Parking is available, though potholes are noted. It is highly recommended for both locals and visitors seeking a true Alaskan dining experience.
