Don't drive by without stopping in for lunch/ dinner. Everything we ate here was very good. Between us all we had the fish n chips, grilled cod burger, side of pasta. It is well worth the drive.

Love the chowder out there and the service was excellent. Only 2 issues with going there, 1 - they only had chowder and pasta, which were good BTW. 2 - it was a weekend so there’s always someone loud, drinking and watching sports, yelling at the game. Still is an excellent place for a bite.

I left Kodiak a few weeks ago and I already miss this place. I often ate lunch here. My favorite was the salmon pasta salad and salmon burger.The wait staff is always generous and playful. They made me feel at home. I like the traffic, also. Although the bar is small, it's never stuffed with too many people; it's always comfortable with places to sit.If you're in Kodiak, stop by and hang out. It has great food and it's a great place to meet the locals.

Ok, I'm only reviewing the Clam Chowder (and the restaurant/ staff which are all Kodiak Kool) Let's start by staying Pound Sand Cape Cod, Kodiak just educated you on what Clam Chowder should be! The Chowder is a cross between cape cod style and Rhode Island style regarding its viscosity (thickness) I believe it's a chicken stock base with light cream. Perfectly seasoned, a skin on potato and clam in every bite and just enough heat to make you smile. Don't mess around with a cup (I made that mistake) you'll wish you had a bowl.

This week, I’m in Kodiak with some other veterans who served here. Tonight, one of us tried to eat at Rendevous with his teenage daughter who is Asian. The waitress served him a beer and her a soda. Then, she came back and asked them to leave because his daughter was under 21. She said a minor couldn’t be in the restaurant because there was no separation from the bar and dinner seating so he asked to sit outside. She called the owner and then told my friend that his daughter couldn’t sit outside either. She never asked for ID nor asked if my friend was her father. He paid for the drinks and left. Maybe the waitress thought my old friend could still score a date with a beautiful 17yo Asian female? Or maybe the Rendevous just doesn’t like people that are Asian? Can’t really say. We arrived shortly after they left and there was a couple seated at the same table with two young white children. We have both been patrons for 19 years but this was our last visit.
