Have been sitting over 30 minutes waiting on a burger, half the restaurant is empty. No more hand cut fries, super disappointing. Table is dirty, never cleaned. Going down hill real quick.

I used to love the Palmer Ale House—what a great spot for a casual date! Unfortunately, my recent visit left me feeling disappointed. It’s sad to see a place that used to thrive now struggling with quality.
We spoke with our waiter, who mentioned they are now focused on compliance rather than the experience they used to provide. The burgers, priced at $20, are still decent, but the fries? They tasted like they came from the bottom of a supermarket freezer and had clearly been sitting in the fryer for too long.

$20 for a single patty smash burger??? You’re outta your mind! Never again.
We were reminiscing with our 10yo about how giant the nachos were when we first went there before she was born, now it’s just sad.
Don’t get me started on the hit or miss service.

Super great food. I had the Italian Sub and the tomatoe bisque soup was the best I’ve ever had. Really nice atmosphere, very nice staff. Loved dropping in here while visiting Palmer.

We have always loved eating here. We live in Soldotna and frequently come up for sports. This trip was terrible. After waiting 1 hour for our pizza, we had excuses and our pizza arrived cold, deformed, and under cooked. We left the pizza on the table. The manager did comp our pizza after stating “I don’t why it would be cold and I could go make you one myself” So sad to say that we won’t be going back anytime soon. The manager was condescending and belittling, we never send food back, but he definitely felt we were the problem. We hope you can get your issues figured out Palmer Alehouse.

Just had the worst dining experience in over 10 years. Tonight we arrived at the restaurant to see a sign on the door that said "limited menu". For over an hour , we watched wait staff carry huge bowls of salad, wings, wraps and pizzas "upstairs' , while the entire lobby of people sat in disbelief due to the lack of NO FOOD. After an hour, they started bringing out stale nachos as a "snack". After being in the building an hour and a half, they said our pizza had not been made yet. It would be another 20 minutes. I am shocked how poorly this establishment has fallen recently.
The place looks amazing, you can tell there's an incredible atmosphere, but despite seeing that the place is huge, they don't want to accommodate our group of 25 travelers 'because it's too many people'... It's a shame since the place can hold at least 150 people. Instead of selling 25 liters of beer and 25 orders of fries, they'd rather receive 25 bad reviews.

Great atmosphere! Fun and great vibe. Staff was really kind. Was told that there was a recent management change that has caused some issues but they seem to be working on it. There was a limited menu though. No burgers or sandwiches but still had a bit there. Felt as though it was a management thing from what I gathered but could be wrong. Root beer is great though!! Nachos could have been better. Really thick chips with not too many toppings for the price.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice big ramp on both sides to get to the door.
