Eagle hotel has got to be the worst hotel in palmer. Beyond the fact that they have some skinhead sitting upstairs yelling slander at every woman that walks by or even near the property but they have absolutely no phones in the rooms and I am told there is blood all over the walls in the bathroom before you even check in.The restaurant however is mortifying. The smell of rancid meat fills your throat....like it or not....as you try to find any sign of wait staff or assistance...it took 3 hours of forcing myself to vomit to get my stomach to settle...if you eat here I hope you like matsu regional hospital

This is nice restaurant attached to the Eagle Hotel in downtown Palmer. It is centrally located on the main Street in Palmer. Both and table setting for many over 100. Good for tour groups and large parties. Basic American food with a variety of choices. I had the Philly Combo with homemade Spit Pea Soup, French Fries and unlimited unsweetened ice tea for $20.00. Excellent price in Alaska. The soup was delicious homemade with chunks of carrot, potato, onion and peas. Everything was cooked to perfection and not mushy or too blended in to the broth. The sandwich was served in a fresh soft long roll, filled with thinly sliced roast beef and fried onions, green pepper, mushrooms and topped with a slice of mozzarella cheese and served warm with a cup warm beefy sauce. The French fries were hot and crispy, well fried and not oily. I needed to take home half of the sandwich and fries so I asked the waitress if I could have a small cup of ajus to take home. She brought me a full cup of the favorable ajus. I offered to pay extra and she said it was free so I increased her tip. I would recommend this cafe for excellent home like food at reasonable prices and tasty.

Went there for breakfast, not a good experience. The food was bland no flavor what so ever, and my breakfast sausage was so over cooked that the inside was harder than a nail. And when I said something to the owner all I got was well "I don't eat pork....." Like what owner says that? Just FYI I know I will no t be going back....
My favorite go to for breakfast. Their pancakes are so fluffy, and everything is cooked just right.

This was a great experience. Nice, quiet, clean and friendly atmosphere. Great value. Low lighting n overly warm makes it very cozy. The heat could be turned down to make things more comfortable but over all, this could be my newest go to. You really gotta try this place.
