We had a great beef stew for lunch here. We didn't experience the inconveniences other reviews described, we were afraid of it but gave it a try anyway and did not regret it.

We stumbled across Turkey Red while spending the night in Palmer and wow, we're so lucky we did. We had baked Brie with walnuts and blueberries, the salmon and the rockfish specials, and a nice port to finish up the meal. Everything was delicious (the bread was exceptionally good), our server was very nice, and the food came out fast.

I’ve heard really great things about this place and was so excited to try their sesame salad on an already not so great day. I walked in, and nobody said anything. I stood there for about five minutes at the front counter; wasn’t once acknowledged. Older lady serving food and two younger folks at the front counter. No hello, no how can I help you… nothing. I went in and came out without seemingly being seen at all. I won’t return. If you can’t even greet or acknowledge your customers, your food can’t possibly be that great. Good food is cooked with love and there isn’t a single vibe of that here. Disappointed to say the least. 10/28 1:30p
I did not feel welcome as an older woman dining alone. Older waitress stopped me when I was going to find the restroom and asked me where I was going. I told her that I needed the rest room. I got the impression she thought I was leaving without paying the bill. I had to get up and find someone to get coffee refill. When I first arrived, I was not greeted. I had to say I wanted to dine in. The salad was fine but lacked all that was advertized like cabbage and kale. The carrot cake frosting was not too good. The bakery does not offer slicing on bread and do not understand that most bakeries slice bread loaves.

Turkey Red. You can’t go wrong. Food is always good! Service is great, sweets are delightful and the atmosphere is nice.
Side note: However word of caution they do this hour ‘turnover ‘ thing from like 4-5, and you can only get appetizers- they are shifting into dinner service. I just happen to hit it twice now- apps are awesome, but I just wanted an early dinner.

Went to Turkey Red recently for lunch, and it was good! Similar to a Panera Bread vibe with soups and salads and sandwiches, but with local ingredients and homemade breads and pastries. Would go back to try more items.

Great food and great service! We've tried several dishes and all have been a hit. The only issue we've run into is when we went in between lunch and dinner times, they only had salads and appetizers available rather than full lunch or dinner options.

As a foodie from Dallas, Texas who travels nationwide always in search of the best hidden gems, Turkey Red in Palmer is a clear winner!
We stopped in for lunch and every single dish was outstanding. I started with the grilled polenta appetizer - absolutely amazing. For my main, I had the eggplant stew paired with steak. The portion was generous, the flavors were superb, and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender.
I noticed another review mentioned the eggplant being sour, but as a true foodie I can say with confidence that’s simply the balsamic vinegar doing its job - perfectly balanced and intentional. It was delicious.
For dessert, my friend and I shared the apple strudel and the Greek yogurt cheesecake. Both were breathtaking. Coming from Germany - the land of apple strudel - I can honestly say this was the real deal.
Please don’t let any negative reviews sway you. Turkey Red cooks with only the freshest ingredients and from the heart. If you’re in Palmer, do yourself a favor and eat here - you will not be disappointed!

When we arrived we were informed that we arrived between meals and we could order Appetizers and Salads. No problem placed our order, informed they were out of the appetizer we wanted. Still no issue- we understand freshly made food takes time and will run out.
Where the meal went wrong. People thatbareived 5-10 minutes after us where offered the full menu. I would have loved to have been notified that we only needed to wait a few minutes for us to be able to order lunch. Especially since ce 1/2 our order was sold out.
Waitress also never refilled our beverages.
The food we did get was Good.l

I can't believe that I just paid seventeen dollars more than seventeen dollars. It was basically a cup of soup. This did not come with bread. It did not come with a salad. I had no beverages and when they handed it to me, I had to ask for a spoon, and it wasn't in a bag to carry to my car. Supposedly it was gluten free. And it obviously was not.
This place is nothing but a glorified cafeteria.

Would rate 5 stars but the portions are on the small side and they started charging a credit card charge fee and they tack it on even before asking if you are paying cash. I understand this for a credit card, but cash and debit makes no sense. So instead, I used my Amex card because it charges them the largest fee, guves me cash back and then didn’t fully tip like I usually like to tip. You screw me, I screw you back.

They had two hot items for vegetarians. A mushroom sandwich and a lentil burger.
The burger was weird. The patty was disintegrates. Just crumbles on a soft thick bread. Almost over cooked.
The first server was slow and didn't help at all. No smile. Quite grumpy actually. Didn't offer bread.
Then later a different server did offer bread when I was getting ready for dessert. They were out of the nettles drink that I wanted to try.
