I have been eating at vagabond blues since I was in high school, now in my forties. I went in the other day and was so disgusted I will never go back. The food has been horribly affected by shrink-flation, the quality is down too. 17 bucks for a coffee and a breakfast burrito that was gone in six bites. Stop supporting this place.

It's a cozy little cafe with sweet treats and friendly people working the counter. We had the pumpkin bread, cinnamon rolls, and hot chocolate and they were all delicious! I'm as bit of a cinnamon roll connoisseur and these were some of the best I've had at a restaurant--soft and fresh with really good pecans and caramel on top. We'll be back to try other things. They had a really good selection of cookies, bars, etc.

4.5 if I could give half ratings here. The zebra hot chocolate (half white and milk mocha chocolate) was delicious. They gave me a coffee though for my first order but they redid the order once I told them. The space is a bit closed off, but other than that I like it. It looked like they had locally made products (like cookies) as well which was great to see!

Stopped here on our last afternoon in the area for a quick lunch, and we really enjoyed it. It has a great view of the mountains. Hubby got a panini that was huge and delicious. I ordered a bowl of the lentil stew. Flavors were good, but it needed salt. The cookies were huge and yummy. Would recommend.

I could eat The Matanuska everyday - so delicious! The cookies were just ok - if you want the absolute best cookies around, walk a couple blocks to The Baddest Batch!A little frustrating that when we ordered the Lunch Combo, we were asked if we wanted a cup or bowl; we chose the bowl, then when the order came out we didn't get any bread and we found out we had been charged separately for the items and no bread was offered. If the bowl isn't an option for the Lunch Combo, don't ask if you'd like a cup or bowl.Plenty of seating inside if you want to dine-in, plus there's a little shop across the hall if you're looking for some unique and local handicrafts.
Breakfast burritos are so yummy! Cookies, quiche, cinnamon rolls and coffee have all been a hit too. Definitely my favorite breakfast spot when in town.

Food and coffee are great. Many options. Can be slow even if they are not busy. They do take call in orders so if you don't want to wait you have that option. It's a cafe so it can get noisy during busy times. Big windows to the Main Street make for great people watching.
Spacious coffee shop with a cozy feeling. Excellent place to grab an espresso based drink and locally made pastry (or more!). Fnd a table with friends or a corner to retreat in - read or get lost online. The espresso is excellent, dark with a good balance of nutty andcsweet finish.Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free options.

...something has changed there, and not for the better. the girls used to be so nice! ive been going there for years when i pass through. today is was so bad, attitude all the way accross the board, and no one seemed happy. no nice greeting no warmth. they just seemed miserable. i hope it changes back soon. that ruines the flavor of the food, doesnt it. ;)Vegetarian options: the food and pastries are great

We come here every visit to Palmer. They have the best Chai tea. However, I was disappointed the last two times. It’s now served in a tall paper cup. It used to be served in a huge cup as big as a cereal bowl do you could enjoy the sip, scoop the delicious foam. Now it’s boring. But the food is good so they still get 4 stars.
