Great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and the staff is gracious. Clean and comfortable. Town of Sitka is in walking distance. Great views of fisherman, boats and kayaks on back deck. There is a bar and restaurant that serves dinner.

Kevin, the manager, was very helpful and kind. The room was space and very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was right there and it was open for breakfast and dinner. It closed at 9 am and it was very quiet and easy to sleep at night. The shuttle to airport was right on time at 5 am and it was easy and convenient.

We misunderstood the photos, and thought all the rooms had a water view. They don’t :(. If that matters to you be sure and request that! We did not - our mistake, not theirs. That said it is right on the waterfront and offers fishing charters, has a restaurant, and is in the middle of the fishing industry area in Sitka. It was fascinating to see that. The staff were incredible!!! So helpful and friendly, really went out if their way to make us comfortable. The room was huge! Really! Big bathroom too by motel standards. Quite comfortable, with a little separate kitchenette sort of area with its own sink. There is a covered area over the water with seating, tables, and grills. It is walking distance to pretty much everything in Sitka if you don’t need super short walks. I’m somewhat disabled and did fine. On a Saturday night there was some noise from the restaurant, but not bad or late - fishing folk get up early! The guest above us was up before five.

Peaceful place. Staff extremely helpful and very responsive to any needs. Walking distance to grocery shopping. Walking distance to “downtown”. Short drive to everything else. Parking can be iffy. Made for a great visit.

We stayed here while in Sitka and the sunset views were amazing. We had a simple 2 queen room which had everything we needed and was very clean with comfy beds. I sat on the deck the next morning working on computer for a bit, enjoying the salty sound smell and the views. Watched them filet all the fish brought in later that night. Ate in the restaurant which was good, chowder was delicious. The people running the place, Ferdinand and Kevin are over the top fantastic. Ask for what you need and they will do all they can to go out of their way to help. They get crazy busy, so be patient. I was able to get a hold of them every single time I called and they were always helpful. I would definitely stay here again. This is in a more industrial area but we had a very peaceful and quiet room with views. Customer service A++

Understanding that this hotel is a small business, I have been unable to contact them for either booking or cancelling reservations. I reserved on line, but not able to cancel. Phones go unanswered. No return phone calls, so no need to leave messages. They will not cancel even if you test positive for COVID over a week out from your stay, so be careful when booking.

This is a good hotel is Sitka. Location is interesting - along the wharf. We found this unique. Walk out of the room and see Alaskans working on the wharf. Owners are doing their best to come out of Covid and keep their business alive. I look forward to the time they can get their restaurant back open. Owners found out this was my wife's 70th birthday and gave us an room with a view.

The first surprise was that the hotel is in an industrial area, albeit waterfront. There are water views with industrial buildings on the opposite shore. This is not Carmel. We had a first floor waterfront "suite" as it was called. The kitchen was where all the money was spent and the place was clean. But overall, the place was incredibly spartan in its furnishings (e.g., many bare walls, little furniture) and not well maintained. We spent two nights here and learned that four of the five renters in the suite above us were young men who worked on a commercial fishing boat not far from our room. Despite the hotel's 11:00 to 6:00 am quiet hours rule, they were up at 4:00 each morning and noisy until they left around 5:30. Of particular note is that they usually wore their Wellingtons upstairs which sounded like jumping jacks in our room. The hotel manager was well aware of this and could not have cared less. Basically a ripoff.

We stayed in the large suite on the fourth floor. It was outstanding. Lots of beds for everyone. Kitchen was very nice. Views were outstanding. Ran into the same problem we’ve had in multiple places in Alaska, the lack of shades. With the sunrise at 4 AM, and only one room having shades, everyone gets up very early. Or bring an eye mask.

We so enjoyed our stay here. The owners have done a fabulous job of combining a hotel with a charter operation and the setting couldn't be much better (waterfront in Sitka) ... loved the staff but especially Ferdie who went to such great efforts to make our stay super memorable. Highly recommend these folks for either a hotel stay or an excellent charter experience.

One if the only places in Sitka to buy a breakfast burrito, but the only one worth it.
