Don't order the boneless chicken wings unless you want something like Chicken McNuggets. My order was brought out and then we got my friends pizza 25 minutes later. Pizza crust was not your normal crust. Would not recommend. Prices are very high for what you get.

The food and drinks were great, and it has a nice view of the seaside, but something about the service was lacking, for us at least.
The pizza was wonderful--good crust that's a mix between thin and normal and plenty of flavorful toppings. Two people will easily be satisfied by one of their specialty pies.
We were only confused because the waitress seemed very disinterested in serving us and had a lack of friendliness. Not even a standard greeting. It was almost like she thought we were someone else that they had a grudge against.
We paid in cash and never got any type of receipt, change, or acknowledgement after that, so that was the real kicker and the reason for the lower overall rating.

We walked into this establishment and saw a line of people waiting for tables. Since the bar was half empty, we sat there. After a while, the bartender told us, “I’d rather you didn’t sit there and cut in front of those people.” We explained that we thought the bar was available—because typically people in line are waiting for tables, not bar seats. To be sure, we asked several people in line, and they all confirmed they were waiting for tables. It was clear we weren’t welcome here, which is unfortunate. The bartender mentioned they only had a couple of staff scheduled, yet this was a busy day with cruise ships in town and plenty of tourists ready to spend money. Overall, a disappointing experience.

One of the best fried cheese curds I've ever had, and I'm from Wisconsin.
There aren't a lot of restaurant options in Sitka, Alaska, but one is enough when that one is the Mean Queen. It merits a recommendation for the wonderful view alone. The second floor bar / dining room offers the towns best spot to take in the harbor and surrounding bay. The bar serves virtually any drink you can imagine, and the bar tender is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some of the local brews - all spot on. One speciality, Fresh Oysters, are sweet, briny and delectable. The 'Queen' also serves up a truly great Pizza. While we did not get to meet the Queen herself, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to her food palace.

This place has gluten free pizza, buns, and a dedicated fryer for GF fries, wings, ect according to the waitress. I had a burger with GF bun and fries with no problems. The bun does fall apart as most GF buns do. The wait staff were friendly, accommodating, very busy and took one of our orders to the wrong table. Overall, it was worth the wait for our food it was delicious and I would go again.

We stopped by this place to grab a bite after our excursion. We only ordered cheese curds and they were delicious. Good flavor no real negatives. Down to earth atmosphere, calm and relaxing energy in the restaurant. Staff was kind and efficient (seems as though he was the main waiter/server in foh, didn’t have to wait.)
Pricing was decent as well, definitely could’ve been more expensive.
Overall, happy.

We stopped by as part of an excursion and Brian and Ryan took care of us with champagne 🍾 and raw oysters as an appetizer to our next few stops. The place is quite popular and has a very diverse menu with lots of seafood choices as well as pizza, beers and cocktails. Whatever you do don't ring the bell by the back wall as if you do you are buying drinks for the entire bar and if you don't the local authorities are called and you won't be happy. It's a long-standing Sitka tradition. Recommended.
