Restaurantji's guide to Soldotna's top Mexican dining experiences.
“It's hard to find good tasting Mexican food in Alaska, but this is one of the better tasting places I've been too. I ordered a burrito deluxe smothered in green instead of red. My only gripe is that the green sauce wasn't spicy enough for my liking.“
“I'll just say, THANK You young lady that wore glasses and worked the bar. You were VERY helpful and ethical, when the young lady that took our order over the phone wanted to cover up her mistake with our order, then stated to us, "we have NO More Hot Salasa".“
“I was attending a four-week school in Soldotna and was getting tired of the meals us students were cooking for ourselves. I saw their sign and went in. I was glad that I did. There were five days left in the school and for four nights I had wonderful service and meals. One of their specials one night was Liver and Onions. I love this meal and the amount I received was quite large and the liver was flavorful as were the side of steamed vegetable. When my wife and I are in Soldotna again and the occasion arises, I will take her there.“
“I love our Soldotna Alaska Taco Bell! The employees are always patient and helpful while I decide what I want to order. I arrived last evening at 5 PM with cars in front and behind the drive thru, yet the gentleman on the speaker and at the window (Jordan) was calm, efficient, and friendly. It was a good experience.“
“Real food. I always eat the halibut tacos but no matter if I’m hungry or not or my stomach doesn’t feel good for whatever reason. I eat this meal and my stomach feels good it’s delicious and healthy and there isn’t any heavy sauces or a ton of corn as a filler. Never disappointed with their food or service! The halibut is not fishy it’s perfectly sautéed. 11/10 recommend if you want authentic Mexican food. Their burgers are homemade too!“
“This restaurant is one of the better places to eat on the peninsula. We have eaten there a few times now to really get a good idea of the restaurant. Love the vibe they've got going on. You even pay when you order up front, so that you aren't thinking or waiting on the check. The food is decent, but is a hit and miss. One lunch that we are there, the quesadilla was so salty that it was deemed inedible. The portion sizes are perfect for an adult. We also like that the prices aren't Alaska jacked up to badly.“
“A really good choice for lunch or dinner. Their seafood enchilada has a great blend of ingredients. The salsa bar is full of options. The wait staff is amazing.Parking: Shopping plaza parking.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with tables and booths. High chairs are available.“
