They serve SteamDot Coffee (one of the best local roasters / brewers in the state) and offer an assortment of fantastic waffle recipes with a great selection of delicious toppings - and the waffles are not smothered! The old train cars are an excellent dining room though they can fill up quickly. The whole concept of Whistle Stop Hill is super cool and we can’t wait to try the other restaurants / options next time we’re in Soldotna.
SO CUTE! Love the train car. It is expensive though, and last time we went we had to wait over 40 minutes for our food when they were fully staffed and only 3 small groups including us who

The Mother Clucker Waffle was truly a unique experience but simply scrumptious! Once I started eating it, I don't think I stopped until my basket was empty. My Latte was also divine. Had given 4 stars due to how long it took to get our coffee after sitting down. It would've been grand to get that coffee to enjoy the cool energy and atmosphere of this amazing cafe setting- I would've been more gracious waiting longer for the Waffles beforehand.
